(WHSV) - The main entrance of Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton will be closed through Friday evening at 5 p.m. as work continues on the parkâs historic restoration. The project was put on hold due to the pandemic, but crews are now moving into the final phase, which includes putting up a 41-foot iron sign that runs across the entire entrance. âRemove this rock, then theyâll be able to pour the foundation and concrete and steel rebar and then from that there will be a plate on top of that at ground level and thatâs what the new big sign bolts into,â Bill Frazier, the co-chair of the Gypsy Hill Park Historic Restoration Committee, said. ....

PHOTO: AP NEW YORK Kevin Durant will be out through the All-Star break because of a hamstring injury, sidelining the Brooklyn Nets star from a game for which he was chosen to serve as a captain. The Nets said on Friday (Saturday, Manila time) that after a routine follow-up MRI on Durant s left hamstring, it was determined that he needed additional recovery time. Durant has missed Brooklyn s last six games. The Nets, who have won eight straight, have three more games before the break. Durant, in his first season back after recovering from surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon, was the leading vote-getter in the Eastern Conference.
