This past friday evening, a mother and 16yearold daughter and their dog were out for a quiet evening walk along the scenic art road in west white land township. Things took a near fatal turn. 4 42 officers received a call accident hit and run along the 1800 block. That is West Township police wes clark. We spoke to him about the violent hit and run and that people frequently walk along the scenic roads here. And a message for the person that struck the family. If the individuals that hit this family is watching, i beg you to turn yourself in and make it easier for yourself and the victims. We are going to get you. According to the chief both victims were found lieing along the road and they both suffered broken bones and the 16yearold took the brunt of the impact. And the family dog ran away and has since been found. This is the best image of the suspect vehicle that the police have. Its a late model 90s or early 2000 chevy or gmc pickup truck a ladder rack on it and possibly ladders on the rook. And may be righting on the drivers side door and the garage will be on the right front corner. And chief clark hopes that someone can help them find it. The juvenile sustained severe injuries and she had to be operated on. And the driver of that pickup truck knew he hit somebody. The victim was shot several times in the head and upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. This played out at 1 00 this afternoon and police did not recover a weapon nor did they make any arrests. And police are looking for who kill aid woman whose body was found in the nights town section of philadelphia. With severe injuries on her face and head. And why a shore town is considering banning icecream trucks from their beaches. And hundreds of vandalized head stones at Mount Carmel Cemetery is restored thanks to the generosity of strangers and the hard work of volunteers. John rawlins is live now with the results there. Reporter hi sharrie. Well this cemetery is here almost 200 years, the vandalized section is restored and well show you it here. And there is still a fundraising effort online to raise funds for the restoration, and the mayor today hosted by natalie adler. And mayor kenney placed decorated pebbles on one head stone in accordance with jewish custom and said a prayer, may all embracing peace shower down from the heavens on all the people on earth. Kenney was here to see the 275 head stones toppled and damaged last february. And brought in people to repair crashinged stones, the mayor remembers helping one man lift his fathers head stone that was pushed over. The man was so distraught trying to put it back in place and i almost wrenched by back but now its totally fixed. Enough funds were fixed that the stones that were showing signs of able and needed repairs. And now there are still 300 stones that could use tlc. But the mayor focused on those last february that intentionally caused damage and hurt. People seem to have no respect or no decency when it comes to honoring places like this that should be honored and sacred and quiet and peaceful. A father and son narrowly escape this raging house fire in pleasantville atlantic county, action news viewer, santiago was driving near lyndon avenues when he saw the smoke. When he got closer he realized the two story home was engulfed in flames and high winds fanned the flames making it difficult to get out. And a father and his 5yearold son were able to get out using the second floor porch before fire consumed their house. They were taken to the hospital for injuries sustained.
