Police are still looking for that driver who is suspected in this hit and run overnight. Theyre looking at cameras and looking at evidence, the car that was left behind. What an awful turn of events. Police do have that suspects car as evidence. They believe the driver was injured and did not get very far or perhaps could be in a hospital. Police are following leads connected to a shooting on the bw parkway. Two folks were shot in a car last night near route 450. One of them was wounded in the arm, the other grazed in the face by a bullet or perhaps broken glass. The victims drove themselves to Prince Georges County hospital. Sam seesay is one of the co founders of fly. They work with student athletes of Roosevelt High School teaching them life skills like entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy and how to be gentlemen. We begin with breaking news of a massive sinkhole that swallowed a truck in bethesda. Thanks for joining us. Im derek mcginty. Im lesli foster. Our mola lenghi just got to the scene in the 4300 block of splayford road with more on the damage there. Reporter this was a pretty Standard Water main break and this whole behind me was a pretty small hole at one point. It was small until a pickup truck drove over it and into it causing the road to cave in nearly swallowing the truck. No injuries here, just the mess that you of see. The water main itself is relatively small, just an 8 inch pipe causing all this damage. You can see some of the break there swallowing up or nearly swallowing up the truck. Not a whole lot of water was gushing out of the break. It appears the driver thought he could make it over safely and you see the results of that. Officials say when you see water running down the road like this and crumpled up concrete, you can assume its a water main break. Dont drive over it. Things like this can happen. Talking 10 to 12 people are affected in terms of their Water Service being interrupted. Wssc says all order should be restored by late tonight or the very latest early tomorrow.
