Jones ran an informal day care out of her home, kids came and went. And her son killed by police on this same street four years ago. That was a very, very dark day in our neighborhood, and a dark day for her as well. Jones called police herself that day when her sons charles Mental Illness got the better of him had been firing a shotgun in the house she said, charles fled police then fought them, an officer shot him dead. Friends say his mother was never quite the same. Hurting on the inside because smiling all the time. You never know what was going on. Now the search is on for jones killer as her friends and what is left of her family mourn another death on their block.
