Its been about 10 days so were ready for it to come back and we do have some sunshine in the forecast for the weekend at least but we have to get through some more rain here. This is this big storm. Its centered right over the delmarva there. Now heaviest rain that we had this morning looks like its pushed west but we still have a few showers that will be moving through the area throughout the evening and even tomorrow. So keep the umbrella handy. Heres where the rain is right now. It is moving here. Spinning around this low so well see some more showers spinning into the area close up view shows delaware seeing good bit of rain right now up and down the state here from New Castle County three kent and Sussex County in New Castle County towards smyrna and over the delaware bay and hitting portions of Cumberland County and salem county there in new jersey. Little light rain in Delaware County right along the media bypass. Youre heading west or south there on route 1 youll pass through light rain showers. Right around lima in 452 and 352. Gloucester and Camden County few light showers coming down. This is not the steady rain like we had earlier but it will continue to move through. This heavier rain will start to spin north and could hit portions of new jersey and delaware here and maybe in the areas in pennsylvania. This is the future weather computer. Notice its not like it was this morning with a solid area of heavy rain. But were not really clearing up much overnight tonight. So passing showers off and on maybe heavier to the south across southern new jersey and delaware. That will continue throughout the night and even tomorrow morning. Another high tide to get through coastal flood warnings remain in effect 7 30 to 9 30 along the coast. And inland along the tidal sections of delaware 11 to 1 00 oclock you might see flooding there along columbus boulevard. Speaking of flooding its creating big problems in northeast philadelphia. Thats where a portion of the boulevard is shut down right now. Lets get straight out to fox 29s brad sattin who is on the scene. Brad . Reporter dawn, women tell you just a small area thats flooded but as you mentioned it is causing big problems. Its not very often when i can stan on the boulevard this is the inner lane im head headed northbound and theres no traffic on a friday. Here is why. Take look at the standing water. You can see patrols are here traffic is stopped on this lane. I would say about six or seven blocks beyond it so its all off limits and as we turn to the left and pan at a time to the left sean you can see traffic is allowed to move northbound here on the boulevard but look at that water. Sometimes this water can come quickly gone quickly. But its been like this for at least a little while here, because we got caught in the traffic as we were headed northbound. We can tell you the road is closed from welsh road to the south of us up to red line to the north. So i think thats about eight or nine blocks where this inner northbound lane is closed. It is the only one closed. The outer lane is still drivab drivable. There is no problem as we pan if we come back here live to the right you can see that is the southbound direction and traffic is moving just fine. Crews have been on the scene. Police here are on the scene. All of these days of rain obviously taking toll here. It is not raining at the moment thats the good news as i mentioned for friday rush hour it is slow going for about eight or nine blocks here. So we can tell you we also saw cases of cars actually headed North Crossing over this grass here to get on to the other side ahead of the closure so its a real mess here on the boulevard again its just the northbound inner lane causing the problem as a result of the standing water right behind me. So for a friday rush hour if you can avoid this area, probably best to do so at least until this water subsides. You get to watch driving through that standing water. This is where late this Afternoon Police arrested a man suspected of fatally shooting his estranged wife and then killing an injuring several other people in a wild suburban crime spree. Reporter the good news the man believed to have been responsible for all of that carnage is now in Police Custody but not before a series of shootings that actually began yesterday afternoon. 62yearold eulalio tour dill being taken into custody outside a super market in aspen hill, maryland around 3 00 oclock this afternoon. Tour dill is a federal protective Service Officer who had been stripped of his department issued gun and badge back in march after reports of domestic abuse. Police say the deadly violence began thursday afternoon when tore dill confronted and then fatally shot his estranged wife gladys in High School Parking lot. Then wounded a man who tried to intervene. This morning about 15 miles from that thursday scene, police say tour dill fatally shot one man and wounded another man and a woman on that scene. Then about half hour later, police say tour dill was at it again. Shot a woman to Death Outside a supermarket in aspen hill. Police kept tour dill under surveillance as he roamed the nearby Shopping Center for about an hour after that final shooting before moving in to make the arrest. My officers had the wellbeing of the public in mi mind, and kept him under surveillance and were ready to act if they needed to. They wanted to again knowing his behavior today and knowing of statement that is he had made in the past, we did not want to endanger anyone and have a shoot out when we took him into custody and thats why he was taken into custody the way he was. Reporter in a chilling irony the Shopping Center where the final shooting occurred and where tore dill was arrested was the same scene where the first of the socalled d. C. Sniper shootings occurred back in 2002. Chris, three people dead including the shooters estranged wife but that gunman is now in custody. Bruce, thanks. Philadelphia Police Officer is in the hospital after a crash in the citys Port Richmond section. This happened around 2 00 oclock this afternoon at the intersection of aramingo and venango streets. The officer was taken to Temple University hospital for some very minor injuries. His k9 partner was not injured. And we are getting new information tonight about a deadly crash that shut down a section of route 55 in department for, new jersey, early this morning. State police say 32yearold annabelle a upon thai of glassboro hit by a car and killed after she crashed along route 55. Her car hit some trees investigators say she got out of the car and went to the side of the road and prior to being struck she was on the ground but it is unclear why. Police say two drivers initially stopped but kept going after not seeing anything on the road. One of those drivers came forward after seeing a news report about the crash. No charges have been filed at this time. Developing now the search for two suspects in a violent robbery. Two people walking along the street held up the disturbing crime all caught on camera and police say both suspects made a run for it and neither one has been arrested. In fact the last 30 minutes you can see it started green color now intensifying just to heavy rain and moving up towards newark, delaware, maybe northern portions of New Castle County look out youll see this rain coming by here within the next two hours. Steadier rain developing here just light. But its really filling in from Chester County from coatesville all wait through delco and into philadelphia. A few showers trying to work their way through portions of new jersey but this area here close to the storm which is the focus for this rain and that will be the area seeing that steadier rain continuing overnight tonight. Of course everywhere could see a passing shower. Youre not done quite yet. Just about an inch of rain in a few areas. Philadelphia, Atlantic City and wilmington even reading had just over an inch so it all came down pretty much this morning. Add to it but certainly not the amounts we saw this morning. Were not quite done yet. That wind southeast 6 miles an hour. Light rain coming down here right in old city. 55 degrees. Well see the showers the drizzle continuing as the temperatures drop into the upper 40s overnight tonight. Look for minor coastal flooding with the next high tide between 7 30 and 9 30 along the coast. Little later in the back bays and certainly around midnight here in the tidal section of the delaware here we could see more coastal flooding. Our temperatures are into the mid 50s drop into the upper 40s to night. And then we talk about the big change this weekend its a kicker here big storm up in canada will kick out this area of low pressure and it will take awhile to happen but when it does, thats when we see the return to sunshine.
