The president hits the 100 day mark on saturday as lawmakers rush to stave off a possible Government Shutdown. It has symbolic value but this deal with the potential Government Shutdown this week is very real and folks around here are starting to get nervous. And the biggest issue, the border wall with mexico. The president wants funding for his chief Campaign Prep and his chief bean counter budget director Mick Mulvaney talked about the potential risks. I dont think anybodys trying to get to a shutdown. Shutdown is not something we wants to have. Reporter but getting a deal with democrats in congress will not be easy. When the president says well i promised a wall during my campaign i dont think he said he was going to pass a billions of dollars of cost of the wall onto the taxpayer. Reporter so the white house is offering a deal. Border Wall Exchange for continued funding to shore up obamacare but democrats may not see a reason to negotiate. Republicans weve talked about this before will end up being blamed no matter what role democrats play in this. Its just the way it goes now since 2013 and that shutdown. Vice president mike pence is that rushing home from an overseas trip to help deal with congress as Administration Officials try to play down the risks of a shutdown. Seen these things before where they call nonessential services would shut down all the essential services would continue Social Security checks would still go out medicare still funded. The arrests on thursday were a bit of a surprise to organizers. It is legally in d. C. To possess small amounts of marijuana and give it away for free and organizers say their demonstrations were held on city land. In a statement Capitol Police said the under federal law which prohibits pot possession and distribution. Turns out only two of those arrested ended up being charged. Now, the reason for wanting to come back at this again today tthe activist group dcmj is calling on congress to basically are states rights, those states that have legalized possession of marijuana and theyre saying there shouldnt be this basically one federal law, one state law. They want the states rights, those state laws to take precedent. Thats part of the reason why they are comig here. However, they do recognize that it is illegal everywhere tom actually smoke marijuana in public and they say probably do think there will be arrests in todays demonstration as well. A rash of break ins in a centreville neighborhood and one resident took matters into his own hands. He chased down some thieves caught in the act. Police say the man saw three people walking near his home on surveillance camera. The suspects then checked for an unlocked car. They were able to get inside a truck. Thats when the homeowner chased them down and caught up with one of the guys. Nobody likes to know that people in th their neighborhood are having theft issues, their cars broken into. Now these guys are caught and hopefully those were the only people that were doing this and we dont have a problem like that again. Believe the suspects are involved in other crimes. Montgomery county police are searching for the man who walked into the rite aid on west bart avenue in bethesda and stole drugs from the pharmacy. This happened around 2 00 yesterday afternoon. A number of people were inside at the time. No one was hurt. Police are asking anyone with information about this case to please call them. In Prince Georges County crews battled an Apartment Fire in fort washington. Flames quickly spread in inside the building on corning avenue, but everyone was able to get out balconies of their third story apartments. They dont want border funding to hold it up right now so were seeing the white house insist they want this funding to go through. Compromise were seeing between the white house and democrats that the white house proposed so far is one dollar of obama care taxes and subsidies to one dollar of border wall funding. Now democrats right now have not been biting thon sunday shows house my any more are the leader nancy pelosi made that clear this is not a comprise theyre willing to take but a lot going on with such a short dead right now. When we had candidate donald trump mexico was going to pay for the wall. How has this shift to do taxpayers paying for the wall . Yeah. Allison make very good point. And President Trump hasnt had any legislative whips from their point of view yes, they got judge kneel gorsuch into the Supreme Court but they dont have any big wins in their belt. What they do have a bunch of executive orders that they can point to as far as the first 100 days but as far as the legislative wins they need something right now. Theyre kind of putting all of their eggs in this weeks basket, and you hope that it doesnt kind of dilute the process. How big of a mile marker, you know, lack o 100 days . Why should it matter . Its kind of shows where the president and administration is getting off to the right foot. It doesnt mean a lot, you know, when it look back in history youll look at administration as a whole but it is showing the confidence the american people, did they make the right choice in who they voted for . I think donald trump whats interesting for me, yes, he didnt have governing experience and he is admitting that governing is harder than it looks a quote from the president and thats good sign saying, yes, may not have these legislative wins but they are showing theres a lot more going on than just simple business deal make asking. You mentioned the Affordable Care act. Last time it didnt go through, and the president said, well, were just moving on its now or never but its come back. It is coming back, allison. Right now ovary says this easter recess Congressional Republicans said hype the scenes theyve come and with compromises. Now, the chances of actually having a vote are look at fact that yes, they need to add in moorhouse Freedom Caucus members. They also need to keep the moderates but how much could have changed in the past few weeks . Especially again looking at this government shut down possibility at the end of the week that they need to be focusing all their efforts on this. I think what were seeing right now is just republicans chess puffed up right now just to show theyre trying ton show the administration that were willing to work with you but the odds of seeing an obama care vote this week are very very slim from what im hearing on the hill. Speak of that ls look outside and show you 270 because that is that delay is really heavy as you make your way passed tucker man lane. Gets heavy from rockville down to the beltway from those earlier outer loop delays. As we forward it along to the outer loop itself delayed there as well. Once you pass old georgetown road you are basically parked so again its going to take you an extra 16 minutes to get from 95 to Georgia Avenue once you pass Georgia Avenue youre still in for about 30 minute delay from Georgia Avenue to the legion bridge again not look looking great right now. Well switch it back over to our maps. We have other problems you need to be aware of including 66 eastbound a huge problem because of a crash at nutley street. The delays all the way back to 29. As you make your way out from gainsville through manassas in centreville. There are several old telephones telephonesfrom poland. We dont actively collect nazi memorabilia. Reporter but there is this bust of hitler. There were sta statues of throughout germany and we acquired that particular item to help us tell the story of the nazi propaganda. Reporter next, we see some of the stored art works in the museums collection. The paintings were done by a holocaust survivor. Reporter some are colorful. Others are not. The dark images were also done by holocaust survivor. Some of those were done during the holocaust itself. Reporter another vault housing the museums object collection. Steamer trunks, suitcases, materials like that that help us tell the story of immediate post liberation live of survivors when they immigrated to this country. Reporter those holocaust artifacts have been stored for the past 27 years in a rented facility near baltimore. It took more than 800 containers and 23 semis to bring all of this material to this new facility an endeavor that began last september. Again, the chappelle center is primarily for researchers for the conservation work that goes on. To get some of these artifacts ready perhaps to be exchanged and put on display at the museum on the mall. Museum that is 24 years old, guys, that has 41 million visitors to date. Fascinating. Having a few almonds we always say for the protein a good snack also sun prevention you can grab a handful in the morning. Very low calorie. Really a super food honestly the green tea one to two cups that contains something caught cat at a cans. What they do, they stop inflammatory cascade from happening. All over inflammation will get driven down by having green tea in your diet. Town two cups per day. Last question. Green teas are not all the same. What do we need to be looking for on the carton or the canister. Want it just to say pure green tea. It shouldnt sweeten. If theres any sugar in it thats not a true green tea. They can be flavored with lemon or pomegranate. If they have any sugar sweetener we talked about that last time thats in the true green tea thats not what you want to be drinking. Okay.
