I was one of the few rooting for cleveland on this crew. When they were losing, it was like im going to bed. I asked my husband when he came to bed he told me they didnt win. Going into the game, it had such a high expectation level, forever. It lived up to all that hype and even more. It was unreal. You hope it goes to a game seven and extra innings. Maybe not the rain delay. Even the rain delay was pa nice little change of pace. I couldnt believe it. Give the grounds crew a chance to be in the spotlight for a minute. You are a sports guy though. You are very athletic. Well, thank you. Am i wrong . Id like to think of myself that way. Who were you rooting for . Was your heart with one team or not . Im from clevelands like the hated rival. Then the cubs are actually our rival within our division so to me it was like the lesser of two evils. Ooh. But i think just the long suffering cubs fans. To see cubs fans finally have a chance to relish that moment. Although i did hear somebody say theyve lost their identity now. Theyre no longer the loveable losers. And the other thing, by the ninth inning we had to go downstairs and get into the tunnel to get ready to go out on the field. So i got to see something that at first i wasnt sure what i was witnessing. But we were watching these guys were these carts that had boxes on them. Turns out they were boxes of world series. But theyt g kepng from locker room to locker room as the a the lead changed. Back, forth, back, forth. It was so close. It was incredible. Then of course, chicago finally pulls it o and i got to tell you, even though the game was played in cleveland, i think half the people in the stands were from chicago. Hey you see that final out and the crowd could g and afterwards, even after the game was over, and the k at bill murray. Hes just he was there. He has been such a longtime cubs fan. Dancing in the stands, having a great time. And then of course theo pstein, bill and theo were in the clubhouse afterwards celebrating with champagne. It was spectacular. I talked with ben zobrist. I mean this was his first year as a chicago cub. And, boy, what a first year to have. It was in fact, i ran into his wife, julianna. All of a sudden she during the rain delay, guys, they had all come out away from the field. He goes out, she runs back in. She runs in to me. She says i got to get back out there. Ive got to see him. He is at bat. He hits that it was perhaps yeah woo like i said, make no bones about it, im a Cleveland Indians fan. I lived in cleveland for five years. Everybody that took part in that game had something to be proud of. Whatever team won, nobody was going to complain about it. But, look. Conscientious objector. He wouldnt touch a weapon. We saw in one instance he he used it to he actually used a rifle as a splint one time was the only use he had for weapons. After hes the shrapnel and theyre carrying him often in a stretcher and stuff, he sees a guy whos been shot and he jumps often the stretcher, tends to that guys wound, says, put him on the stretcher, then he crawls back 300 yards and he gets shot up again by snipers. And you left that out . Well, kind of because it was almost too much to believe. And saved 75 guys on hacksaw ridge but he was in guam as well and he saved other guys there so he was always so theres a sequel. A prequel actually. A prequel. Those were before. The other miracle of this movie is you do it in 59 days. About half the schedule of brave heart for less money and that was 20 years ago. Now a days you see independent films. I mean, if the superhero wearing spandex, you dont get a budget. It is great to see you. As i told you, im personally so happy for you. Congratulations on the movie.
