That happened only an hour and a half ago. The man was holed up inside the house after shooting ballard, a delaware state trooper, yesterday. This all started at a wawa. Ballard was investigating two men. The other man was taken into custody, but the one accused of shooting ballard took off. Ballard is from bowie, maryland. He was 32 years old. Metro Transit Police say she had a knife and was on some kind of illegal substance when she started to argue with another passenger. It happened around 9 00. The woman was arrested at white flint station. About 30 minutes later. No one was injured. Metro expects to have full bus and rail service amid threats of a sickout from workers. Metro employees asked for a sick day friday and every single one of them got rejected. Metros leadership and the union are locked in a bitter contract dispute. It is so bad that sources tell us that workers are telling their supervises theyre going to skip work friday. According to their contract, Union Members are not permitted to strike.
