The problem with the fire, when crews got here, the flames were so intense and so big theres no way rescuers could get in there to save the victims. Rescuers had to wait inside until they could get things under control in just a little bit before they could get their rescue mission. Before they got in, i can tell you the 9yearold was pull from the home, he was taken to hanheman and pronounced dead. A 7yearold and 52yearold woman was located inside the homes. They, too, have been pronounced dead at the scene. I want to bring another live look out here to the scene, you can see crews here are still working to contain this fire. I can look right now and see smoke coming up, its smoldering, but, again, this is the scene of a fire that claimed three lives this morning in north philadelphia. These intense flames ravage the two row homes on the 1700 block of north 6th street near montgomery avenue where bob brooks is gathering details this morning. Two very young victims, bob were about to hear from the fire commissioner, right . Reporter thats right, those children nine and seven years old, another adult found inside the home, 52 years old. The fire commissioner is giving us an update well pan over live and listen in. I cant confirm that. To be clear we were dispatched at 4 42 a. M. , firefighters arrived quickly we had Additional Units on the job, very difficult and very challenging fire a lot of fire in the residents, fire was under control in in an hour, but were hitting hot spots and continuing the search. One of the Ladder Companies brought a child out of the building, that child expired. We have two occupants who are unaccounted for. Were conducting a dangerous operation to see if we can account for the folks who are still missing. This fire, we have 30 apparatus and 30 vehicles and units on the scene and 100 personnel.
