Were down under a half mile visibility in lancaster. A half mile in reading. And it looks like millville still has about 3 miles which isnt too bad. As youre trying around this morning some patchy fog not out of the question. 61 degrees is the current temperature in philadelphia. 59 millville, 61 in cape may. Arent the winds are light. And the winds are light dropping down out of the north instead of off the east. For in reason we might break out a little bit of sunshine at times today. 58 degrees by 7 oclock. By noon 69. 72, milder this afternoon with a high of 73 late in the afternoon and then down to 71 by 7 oclock. Again, showers possible moving into areas south of philadelphia later today but if we cross our fingers and get a little lucky maybe some of those models holding the stuff all until later tonight will be the ones that win out. Overnight construction on the burlington bristol bridge has just cleared and traffic is moving pretty well at this point although kind of slowly across the bridge, just in the 20s. Police now say 22 people including children were killed in what appears to be a terrorist attack. This happened as fans were leaving an Ariana Grande concert in the city of manchester just a short while ago President Trump commented on this calling the suicide bomber a loser. Investigators are trying to determine if this man operated alone or if he was part of a network. Shortly after 4 00 a. M. President trump addressed the attack from bethlehem. Because they would like that term. They would think thats a great name. I will call them from now on losers because thats what they are our society could have no tolerance for this continuation of bloodshed. People running from Manchester Arena. At 10 33 last night word came in about an explosion at the end of an Ariana Grande concert. She had just left the stage. More than 240 calls came into emergency services. 22 people including children have died. 59 others were injured. The injured are being treated at eight different hospitals in the manchester area. Police say this is a fast moving investigation. Theyre treating this as a terror incident. Police say the incident was carried out by one man who detonated an improvised explosive device but they dont know if hes part of a larger network. Manchester arena and victoria train station which is connected is cordoned off as a search for detailed forensic evidence is under way. This has been the most horrific incident we have ever faced here in manchester. One we all hoped we would never see. So many young people were out to enjoy a concert at Manchester Arena very sadly have lost their lives. We have heard from more people overnight who were inside that arena when the explosion happened. Many parents had taken their Young Children including this mother. Everyone went crazy and was running and screaming and trying to get out and jumping off of seats. We managed to get through the door and how we wasnt crushed to death is a miracle. People were screaming and literally jumping out of the seats. Everyone was running because the doors are like upstairs. It was chaos. The mayor of manchester also made a Public Comment calling the attack an evil act. It is unclear if philadelphia will increase security around the city. We do know police in new york city have tightened security at tourist hot spots and other heavily trafficked areas. There have been no and specific threats to new york. Police arrested a Chester County man for an unprovoked assault on a disabled man. Take a look is this surveillance video. It shows the suspect a mocking a man with Cerebral Palsy on may tenth. Once the man leaves the store Police Say Baker can be seen mocking him again and then as you just saw punching him in the face. Baker was released yesterday after turning himself into police. A Police Officer is now in recovery after being injured when a group of teens gathered and got out of hand near a septa station in the juniata park section. Prompted by social media, dozens of teens descended on the area near eerie and torresdale avenues yesterday in an apparent flash mob. Philadelphia Police Called in extra officers to assist to try to break up the group but at some point the police were knocked to the ground. Eventually three teens were arrested. Coming up in the next half hour, the police send a message to parents. Closing arguments set today in the murder trial of david creato. The father is accused of killing his threeyearold son brendan in 2015. The prosecution and defense both rested their cases last week. Prosecutors tried to prove that creato killed the boy to preserve his relationship with his thengirlfriend. Creatos lawyer disputes those claims. Jury selection is expected to continue today in pittsburgh for bill cosbys upcoming Sexual Assault trial. Both sides agreed on the first five jurors, three white men and two white women. The trial itself will take place in norristown Montgomery County starting june 5th. The judge is being imported or the jury is being imported from allegany county. Its possible during the afternoon some areas south of philadelphia start to pick up a little bit of that shower activity and eventually we expect it to just clip the i95 area. Whether or not that happens in the early evening or maybe later at night a little bit of a question there. But the rain is on the way eventually. Lehigh valley mostly cloudy, a bit warmer, 73. We do not expect rain up in the northern suburbs. Maybe not even tonight as that rain is going to basically come up to about philadelphia and then settle back over toward the east.
