Breaking rider now a sixyearold boy is safe again after he was briefly kidnapped overnight in northeast philadelphia. Now police say the little boy was asleep in the back seat of a car left run tag 7eleven. A suspect jumped in the drivers seat and took off. Reporter matt and tam, police say this little boy was asleep in the back seat of the car when it was stolen and police say this would already be a serious concern but this little boy has asthma. His inhaler was at home and with these dangerous temperatures police were afraid what would happen if too much time passed. But lets go to video from not too long ago of that little boy as he was marrie carried Ina Police Officer and reunited with his mother at the 7eleven where this all started. This happened just before 2 30 this morning near bridge and oxford. The child was asleep in the back seat of a honda civic in his pajamas and winter coat when his 30yearold stepfather stopped at the 7eleven and ran inside to make a pump he left the car Engine Running and thats when the suspect took the car and took off driving towards roosevelt boulevard. The car was found about half hour later on the 4300 block of leaper. The engine was left running so the heat was on in the car and police say the little boy slept through the whole thing and was not harmed. The car is being checked for fingerprints and swabbed for dna. Police saint helps that the car had a unique description and unique details. They were able to radio the description out city wide they notified state police and police credited good work by investigators to find this car and child so quickly. A lot of distance can be traveled in a half hour and the family told us that he has asthma and that was a big concern and we knew how bad the weather is. This person would have taken the sixyearold and just threw him out of the vehicle and kept the car now the child is going to be exposed to this brutal cold. Reporter at this point police do not have a detailed description of the suspect but they are viewing Surveillance Video to see if they can find more details. Im erin ohearn with a developing story. The frigid temperatures always present firefighters with challenging circumstances and that was the case at the cobbs creek golf course. This is viewer video taken when the blaze broke out around 11 30 last night. The course is located on the 7500 block of cardington road in the Overbrook Park section of philadelphia. The fast moving blaze engulfed the Mansion House which holds the pro shop restaurant and offices. The Upper Darby Fire Department also responded because two buildings adjacent to the back of where the blaze was was threatened. Fire crews had to deal with water supply issues and of course icy conditions. Yeah, the cold and wind always plays a factor. It creates ice quickly especially at these temperatures and members slip and fall so we have to keep our equipment moving so that it doesnt ice up because when we try to take it down it will break. A College Student is sharing her story about how she was kidnapped at a gas station in the poconos. 23yearold Rachel Stephenson was returning to Sunni Binghamton from her home on long island wednesday last week. She stopped at a gas station in east stroudsburg. 18yearold ralik chambers jumped nutrifers seat and trove away telling stephenson that he was taking her hostage. She convinced the kidnapper to let her take a call from her father while they drove around for two hours. When they stopped for gas stephenson saw her opportunity to escape.
