Its too early to tell if and how the hurricane could affect New Hampshire, but the red cross skiing people to consider donating blood. Lets take a closer look at exactly where the storm is at this moment and it is still a category 4 hurricane, meaning major hurricane with top winds way up there. Well show you those in a moment. Can you see the ills its passing through, sort of halfway between haiti, which is jamaica is getting strong current and ocean, but no major effects. But its headed toward the bahamas who will see a direct strike from this system. A farther out look showing you the latest stats, only moving north at 9 Miles Per Hour. So that means they get extended time with these dangerous conditions, top winds 140 Miles Per Hour. And by the way, we have a new storm as well, thats nicole, long. And it will be heading up toward that spec you see under the 617, thats bermuda, but they will likely see it as a tropical depression at that point. Now the spaghetti models, these are all the computer models showing the track of matthew. Theyre all fairly in good agreement as we get up toward florida and southeastern u. S. A. , and then they begin to make the turn and thats where things start to become a little different now. Can you see the widespread tough to know if it comes up toward new england or if it stays off shore or goes back out into the atlantic. For more on that, well toss it back to mike. Mike because all the computer models are dictating different path itself, what that means for us is a possibility that the storm could go in one of several different ways, one of which is to the north at about 5 to 10 Miles Per Hour over the next 12 hours, thats a guarantee, no doubt about that. Northwest, and thats all due to the fact that an area of High Pressure billion in from the northeast will help drive it off in this direction. By then the top wind come down a little, but it a major effect on the bahamas, not only through tonight but into tomorrow and into thursday as well. And then it takes aim on eastern portions of florida. Still as a potent category 3 or 4 hurricane. Top winds could start to weaken a little bit and then it begins a turn towds see hurricane watches extended all the way up into the carolinas. Beyond that where does it make the turn off to the east . Is it far enough south so we see no wind whatsoever and very little rain . Or do we get quite a bit. Rain with with with not a whole lot of wind, that would actually be a good scenario for New Hampshire because of course were in that extreme drought.
