Youll also notice here that we are tracking it right through the bahamas as a category 3 storm, top winds down to 120, but still a major hurricane. All those red blotches indicate hurricane warnings and Tropical Storm warnings to the south of miami. The latest track takes it right close to miami, ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and then it scoots right along the east storm. Then westerly flow in the jet stream will start to drive it for and eventually northeast, and since it will not be captured by the next disturbance it gets driven well out to sea as a matter of fact it wobbles to the east and then southeast, and may sit and spin out there east of florida for self days starting sunday, monday into tuesday. Of course with a track like that no impact for New Hampshire, but we do have plenty of changes in our weather, well look josh Hurricane Matthew has claimed at least 11 lives in the caribbean, five from haiti. Reporter here in haiti the hurricane has passed, but the concern remains, especially on the hillside where there are some homes that are especially fragile. Some areas where the ground has shifted. The damage in the rural areas could be catastrophic. The majority of people there living in make shift homes. The haitian government is reaching out to government for help in the relief effort. Kristen carosa is live with the details of todays hearing. Reporter this mornings hearing essentially started the process of figuring out if owen labrie had ineffective counsel during his trial. If he did, a new trial date will be set, but not before a hearing where labries former legal team may testify. Labrie walked into court this morning accompanied by his parents and his new defense attorney, robin malone out of nashua. Labrie was found guilty of misdemeanor sex assault, his victim was a then 15yearold girl. He was also convicted of a felony computer crime charge. Labrie was sentenced to one year in jail, he was released on bail pending his apeople. After todays hearing they discussed dates for a hearing which would discuss the possibility of a new trial. Right now a middleton woman is on trial for allegedly hitting a 12yearold relative with a baseball bat. 35yearold erica hunt faces two Second Degree assault charges. She was arrestedded in pay of 2015 after other family members brought the boy to the police station. The state alleges that hunt and the 12yearold were arguing when the boy picked up a metal bat and started swinging it. According to the state, she grabbed and it swung. But the defense says that he hurt himself in the struggle. Erica had full control over both hands over the bat and she hit him hard enough to leave a mark. Theres a wrestling back and forth over it, shes trying to be careful, he takes a swing but misses and hits himself, then he starts screaming you hit me, you hit me. Josh a controversial issue, but Goffstown Police tonight are saying bring it on, along with their side arms officers are putting on body camera this is week. As you can see by the satellite picture here its slowly jogging to the northwest. You noticed yesterday, last night, early this morning it was northward at about five, six or seven Miles Per Hour of its picked up a little forward speed now moving to the northwest at 12 Miles Per Hour. Really battering the bahamas at this time. Look at the latest track, takes to it the northwest, not much of a change from the track state, eastern parts of florida and then it begins to churn more to the north, exactly where it tends up will dictate how much win they get and eventually it gets steered by westerly winds and the jet stream over the United States and that will kick the storm out to sea off to the east of the carolinas. Matter of fact by later sunday night into monday, instead of moving east northeastward north of of bermuda, it heads south water and may just sit and spin out here for quite some time. So north of miami and ft. Lauderdale, but then you got to jacksonville until you have a watch. Then those other areas, obviously the bahamas in this hurricane warning too, but the gulf coast is just a Tropical Storm watch at this point, not expecting any direct impacts there. So this map here shows you the wind probability and wherever you sigh that red color or the orange color, thats where there could be Hurricane Force winds, coming right into that east coast of florida. Right in the central part of the state. Then it continues to move up into the big bend South Carolina. So to give you some perspective these are the different scales that we look at. So category one, were not there, were stronger than that, were not even a category 3. This storm is likely to hit florida as a category 4 with upwards of 130mile per hour winds, that could cause extreme damage, thats why theyre having all those evacuations down there in florida. Closer to cape cod, and we would have dodged the wind. But unfortunately the drought continues and i dont see much in the way of any rain chances in terms of steady rain now for quite some time, really matthew was our one shot saturday night into sunday. Instead just a scattered shower chance by later saturday. 60s to around 70. But closer to the coast that wind is on shore, so it is much cooler in the mid to upper 50s in the chilly zone again, 30s and 40s. But a big recovery tomorrow into friday and saturday. The New Hampshire Snowmobile Association is preparing for its annual kickoff to winter in fremont this weekend with more than 40,000 people expected. Josh as Jennifer Crompton water. Reporter this is Brookfield Pines farm in fremont, transformed every columbus day weekend for decades into a huge snowmobiling event called race into winter. The tents are being pitched, vendors arriving, grounds readied for more than 40,000 visitors. We have grass drag racing, water cross racing, snowmobiles racing on water. Snowmobiles flipping in the air. And we have track where snowmobiles are running on the chip track and making small jumps.
