Its nice and clear just a 11 minutes typical commute from the beltway down to fayette street. Heres 695 in parkville. No problems getting up to towson and the west side also nice and clear. Abc2 News Health Reporter linda so joins us now with some tips on how best to fight the flu i think a lot of people are curious about this because this is very serious. Reporter very serious and very contagious. All it takes is for someone to cough or sneeze for the virus to spread. Here are the top three ways you usually catch the flu. Simply being near someone whos sick and sneezes or coughs or talks and spreads those infected droplets. Reporter well, legislators say its too early right now to see exactly what a gas tax proposal might look like but they are certainly discussing the possibility. Yesterday the governor suggested the idea of adding a penny to the states gas tax to help pay for needed transportation projects in maryland. According to published reports, upping the sales tax by a penny would raise about 700 million a year for needed transportation projects. During the 2012 regular season, lawmakers could not agree on the governors plan to raise the states 23. 5 centss a gallon gas tax. Even legislators who support an increase admit its not a popular idea. Republicans in annapolis say the majority of democrats should not expect help from them on any increase in taxes. I think we have enough taken from us and its its getting ridiculous. You know i mean the median Family Income is just aint even making it no more. For the last 20 years, melanie and Howard Greenberg have been caring for their daughter brooke in a way that most other parents care for an infant. You know brooke loves to be held. All she wants to do is be held. Brooke suffers from a rare condition that has stopped her growth and development. Shes been the same size for the past 15 years. From 1 to 4 brooke changes. She got a little bit bigger but at 4 to 5 she stopped. Its presented them with a set of demanding challenges with caring for brooke. I just learned its been 16 years of on the job training. Giving her medicines. Knowing when shes sick. The right amount. The key with brooke is we dont know what tomorrow brings. But the greenbergs have learned to adapt to their daughters condition.
