Ive gained a more profound understanding of what it is to be a mother, both through the depth of the agony i feel when my children scream and from the connection my mother has to my pain. People didnt only show support for me, they showed support for other people. After that post people started talking to me. Its a growing Online Community support group. You realize there are all these people who are suffering i think the post gave people an outlet to connect and build community. I was going to work, i could barely get through a meeting without crying, how could i do my job . Its called secondary loss. They cant focus. They are feeling uncontrollable emotions. She did. She said, in one day you will remarry. Something i hadnt even thought about, dating, at all. You talk about it in the book. This double standard. At starts to date, theres a lot of judgment and eyebrows raised. We judge people who date, particularly women, after their spouse has died. And i found dave and i wanted to spend my life with dave. And i thought i would. But i dont have that choice. And so when we judge people who lost their spouses for trying to find happiness any way they do, including dating, we really hurt their recovery. And im hoping option b gives people the permission they deserve to rediscover joy. Reporter and rediscover ambition.
