Governor Nikki Haley Says progress is being made in South Carolinas fight against Domestic Violence. Haley announced thursday that shes signed three executive orders related to Domestic Violence. I got the news i was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma. And i really knew nothing about it. I heard the wordrdancer again, second time by the age 40 she came to dr. Mark clemens. An expert on this rare cancer linked to breast implants. This phenomenon that were seeing is anaplastic large cell lymphoma or alcl, it seems to develop in some patients in the scar tissue around the breast implant. The problem is theres not a lot of women to study, so they dont have a good idea of whos at risk. And women dont know to be looking for it. It was a late onset swelling but it was a drastic onset swelling that occurred in a 4 day period. Usually happening years after they receive their breast implant. This mother of tto has now overcome Breast Cancer twice and spends her time i feel like i can be a face for other young women out there that you can wear and again, i only thing i see missing is cancer. The waters have receeded at this point, but the last two days we had freezing temperatures so that kept our staff from being able to be down here safely and to clear the silt. Right to rise usa is responsible some parents in Chester County are a little on edge this morning after an Elementary School teacher found a child sitting on a gun in a wheelchair. The incident happened yesterday morning at chester park Elementary School. The associate superintendent of the district says they dont believe the child brought the gun to the school on purpose. Chester county schools recently replaced rotating armed deputies with security guards at every school. School leaders say theyre glad the guard was there as it allowed for a quick response. Some parents wonder if more needs to be done. I think its crazy, its dangerous you know. Its enough children getting killed by guns already i just think something needs to be done whether its metal detectors or police or whatever. School leaders have not yet released information on whether the gun was loaded, how old the child was or whether any students werer aroundd during the incident. Today marks five years since a deadly shooting killed six people and left thencongresswoman Gabrielle Giffords severely injured. Among those killed were a nineyearold and the chief judge for the Us District Court in arizona. 18 people were injured in the attack. Giffords was speaking at an event when 22yearold Jared Loughner opened fire. Authorities believe giffords was the target of the attack. Loughner is currently serving life in prison. A Philadelphia Police officer is recovering this morning after he was shot multiple times in a shootout late last night. The shooting happened before midnight when 33 yearold officer Jesse Hartnett was driving through a West Philadelphia intersection ananthe suspect opened fire. Police say the suspect was so close to harnett, that he shot from from inside the police car window. Harnett was shot three times in his arm, but hes expected to survive.
