when two men kicked in in home and dip styed the people inside of the home and robbed them. police tell us the small electric items and jewelry were taken from the home. police are trying to gather more information on the two men that broke into the home. the good news is, no one was injured while all of this was going on. the neighborhood now returning back to a quiet state. if you have any information, you are asked to call police. live this morning, corridor dove, abc action news. a few hours before that home invasion, another home invasion at this apartment complex on east hillsboro avenue. police say one of the three suspects had a gun as they stormed into the meridian point apartments. the crooks took a laptop, wallet, another computer, and a cell phone. a woman accused of a deadly hit and run on the howard frankland bridge will go before a judge. alison was allegedly under the truck operator who was stranded on the bridge. her colleagues will talk about the importance of florida's move over law. good morning. we are moving out, but this morning we are very cool. temperatures under brooksville. the front came through yesterday. it allowed temperatures to come from 61. involving three highlands county teachers. a newspaper is reporting nine new child porn charges for stacy lynn hooks. last month, we brought you the been arrested for having sex with a 14-year-old student. now the sheriff says a teacher at sebring high school has resigned. amanda rose-kennedy was under investigation for making porn with an 18-year-old student. the sheriff also confirmed an unknowned high school teacher is also under investigation for child porn. in orange county, an arbitrator ruled to get a high schoolteacher her job back after she complained on a facebook page about standardized tests and was fired. the teacher posted on her own page at her home after school hours and should be allowed the right to free speech, the judge ruledp. look at that officer forcing that homeless man's head into the pavement. officer james wilson claims his body camera stopped recording during the arrest, but witnesses captured it all. you are seeing it here on this develop phone video. an internal affairs investigation cleared him of the charges. police officer is charged with murder for the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man one week ago today. montgomery police officer aaron smith shot greg gunn multiple times early last thursday morning. authorities arrested smith yesterday. he posted $150,000 bail and was released. gunn's family says he was walking home after playing cards with friends when he was killed. he initially said he had a weapon with a stick or pole and fought with the officer. smith's attorney calls the arrest a publicity move to stop planned protests. it was 25 years ago today a video camera captured an arrest that shaped u.s. history. it was march 3rd, 1991 george holiday recorded a scene from his apartment balcony and showed lapd officers beating a man named rodney king. king, who was black, was released days later without being charged. in a news conference, he "can't we all get along?" four white police officers were acquitted in the beating leading to violent riots. 20 years later, king was found dead in his swimming pool. in democracy 2016, a republican presidential candidate ben carson seems to be slowing down his campaign. >> he sees no path forward to the nomination, but there has been no official announcement that he's out of the race just yet. carson going to give more details tomorrow. there is one least 323. we've learned north korea has fired six short-range projectiles into the sea off its coast. the launch comes as the u.n. approves the toughest sanctions in two decades for its recent nuclear breaches. the u.n. security council approved the sanctions just yesterday. the sanctions are aimed at part of the economy that finances the nuclear programs. the u.s. ambassador has acknowledged there are loopholes that north korea could drive a truck through. in west palm beach, the impersonating a doctor is now back home after another trip to jail. this is love-robinson on his way home. he was arrested tuesday night on five new fraud charges. an 86-year-old woman claims he defrauded her after a series of visits to her home to treat her for severe stomach pain. and a youth football team is finally getting security after losing thousands to thieves over the past several months due to a lack of security at the home field. the vandals stole a $5,000 ice machine. abc action news got involved and shared their story. since then, a parent donated a set of security cameras now mounted on the feel. they could put the focus back on the kids and why they are on that field in festival. good morning again, sarah. >> reporter: good morning. you mentioned that it is all about the strawberries here at the florida strawberry festival without the strawberry farmers, we mentioned there wouldn't be a strawberry festival. joining me right now is ken with the florida growers association. we're just outside of the display showing how the strawberries are grown. tell me about it. >> years ago, several growers in the strawberry festival thought it would be a great idea to show the process of how strawberries are produced. you have the john deere equipment over here and demonstrating how the beds are formed and that all takes place in the summertime in the early fall. we plant strawberries about 180 million plants planted every year to produce the strawberries to 10 to 11,000 acres here. this is the final product from the months of labor. >> we talked about how it's a big economy driver for our area. we talk about the impact here. bit, but it's 350 to 400 million farm gate but the ripple effect that has on the local economy is about 750 million to 1 billion dollar economic impact within a 20- mile radius. >> just in this area. >> let's talk about this season. how has it been so far? >> it was so hot in november and december that it caused the plants -- well, the fist half came out really fast and then went into a plant. the plants were vegetative and didn't have enough cold weather for loom initiation. so we went through a six-month period without as much bloom as we would like. just an incredible at of beautiful strawberries now. >> thank so you let you know when the rain arrives and what's associated with it and that's coming up. breaking news update. investigators don't think a deadly mobile home fire was set on purpose but they are trying to figure out what sparked that fire that killed shane and his girlfriend early yesterday. a driver saw the flames and called for help but by the time help arrived, the fire consumed the entire home. police are looking for a teen in connection with a carjacking. they've already arrested john crist but they are looking for an 18-year-old who got away. her car texting when one of the suspects walked up to her door and demanded she get out. one of them got in her car so she got up and sprinted towards walgreen's for help. >> i am still kicking myself for not paying more attention. i'm blaming myself right now. >> authorities say the teens crashed four hours later in st. augustine. they also picked up a third teen after the crime. she is a missing 16-year-old run away who detectives arrested for violating probation in a separate case. she told detectives that the plan was to steal a car, drive to jacksonville and commit a robbery. if you know where he is, call crimestoppers. they aren't the easier things to steal unnoticed but somehow someone managed to steal two semi trucks right from under the nose of bar doe. >> the owner says he lost more than $400,000 worth of trucks the equipment is used by the family business open now for 28 years to transport heavy equipment. he hes someone will righthe tr there. imagine waiting in line for hours but getting turn ad that is reality says more than 9% of the homes sold in tampa and daytona beach were flips. only memphis, fresno, and las vegas had higher rates. the city of tampa could soon become the latest to decriminalize. the phoenix are facing felony drug charges for handing out school. administrators learned about a situation when the school nurse a short time later, several more students showed up. all of the students are expected to recover. they say it could take several months before they get the results back. astronaut scott kelly is back on earth after 340 days in space. he originally touched down in back down to earth and what's going on with a few gulf. we are looking at times the clouds out there. they are high clouds. dry anyway. low 60s with winds coming in out of the east and northeast. current temperatures across the rest of the tampa bay area. if you were up with us earlier this morning, we had 40s across the coast. they have now been replaced with 50s and 60s and eventually back into the 07s. all of us staying with mostly sunny skies through the afternoon and again at times you can see the serous clouds rolling in from the gulf. west, not so much because we'll get severe thunderstorms. it will come at a time when we're getting folks to work in the morning. so the timing will be rough. then we'll have showers between 4:00 and 7:00 a.m. nothing widespread and nothing heavy. the bulk of the rainfall is right where the area of low pressure is. look at this sky here. if you are headed out to the eastern part of the peninsula, you see sprinkles right along the coast. for them, they will be talking about rip currents for us, we're good. we'll be looking at the fantastic week. we have to get to the showers and again not too heavy here. keeping you posted with janelle on the roads as well. highs today in the mid and upper 70s along the coast. that's helpful during the summer. this time of year, temperatures drop. 670s tonight. i don't even think you'll need jackets in the morning with 60s and 07s through the day. you may need an umbrella if you are out early enough. easterly winds, there are the high and low temps coming up for the rest of the day with the sunrise and sunset. we'll be changing the clocks in a couple of weeks. as i mentioned, behind the front, saturday and sunday mid and upper 70s. spring is coming up early next week. not literally but it will feel like it with low 80s and plenty of sunshine. it is a parade that brings an entire city together and for one little girl it is a dream come true. she is the grand marshal. her story is coming up next on 9:49. it's opening day at the 2016 world famous strawberry festival at plant city. >> they are coming to see the big artists, the rides and of course the strawberries. good morning,
