Doylestown 514 running about ten minutes late. Philadelphia police are investigating the death of a teenager inside a school. Skyforce 10 was over the Wordsworth Academy in wynnefield heights. Thats where police found the body of a 17yearold last night. They actual us the teen got into an altercation with a member of the staff. It is unclear exactly how the student died. The academy provides education and services to children with emotional and academic challenges. 5 33 and this morning, police are looking for the driver wanted in a hit and run that sent a man to the hospital. Skyforce 10 flew over the scene in northeast philadelphia last night. Police say the 25yearold victim was walking on braun street when he was struck. Medics took him to the hospital where hes listed in critical condition. In chester county, police are looking into an accident that killed a person. Skyforce 10 was also over this scene in Kennett Square last night. A car hit the victim at east Baltimore Pike and schoolhouse road. Police tell us the driver stayed at the scene. For a while, the accident closed a portion of Baltimore Pike. A state Health Representative will check out the plagsky Elementary School in wilmington to assess a mold problem. Some teachers say students and staff are constantly coughing in their classrooms because the mold is so severe. The Christina School district closed three classrooms this week to clean them and to do air quality tests. The district has sent home a letter to parents explaining the process. Management changes could be under way in philadelphias public schools. Shut it down. Concerned citizens held a rally outside School District headquarters yesterday where they called for abolishing the School Reform commission in favor of a locally elected school board. This comes after commissioners Marjorie Neff and halston recently resigned. From our jersey shore bureau, the clock is ticking for Atlantic City to resolve its budget crisis. The press of Atlantic City reports stay officials are giving the city until monday to submit a revised budge tote avoid a possible stay takeover. Atlantic citys Council Introduced a spending plan in august that was less than the Previous Year but called for transitional aid from the state.
