At high tide, late this morning and early this afternoon, we could see flooding at the shore, the delaware beaches and delaware bay. Other than that, the weather not going to be bad. The wind will be picking up. You may not want to go into the water. We have rough seas and dangerous rip currents, look at the temperatures, 50s in the Lehigh Valley. 59 degrees in the suburbs and 63 degrees in philadelphia. We will see sunshine today and a nice warmup, low 70s at 10 00. Look at the winds, 11 miles an hour. A little bit stronger in new jersey at times and the Lehigh Valley, youll feel some of the wind as well, too. 57 degrees now. 63 degrees at 8 00 and then into the low 70s at 11 00 this morning. Cape may county officials monitoring high tide this morning. And also looking out for low tide. Theyre concerned about coastal flooding. I should also let you know that the labor day race that was planned for today in ocean city has also been canceled because of the weather conditions. So there is certainly other things are other things you can do. You can come down to the boardwalk, have some fun. Visit some of the shops here. During the blizzard in january, they got a lot of rain. That end of the boardwalk down there, it was all ripped up. They had to replace the boardwalk. They were watching it closely to see what happened during hermine and the tides. We saw a couple high tides to go here before were completely out of the woods. So far, so good. We have gotten some san on the boardwalk here in rehoboth. Im here a lot with my family. People walk off, they bring sand with them but not like this. You can see the wind isnt so bad, a little bit of a breeze kicking through here. They took the trash can lids off, brought back the lifeguard chairs. The ocean, theres usually a six or sevenfoot dropoff. The fact you want key the waves breaking there and its level with where we are on the boardwalk, that means the water is up higher. Its not as bad as it could be. At high tide later this morning, up in lewes, down in dewey, there are spots were concerned about. At this point, not too bad. He was shot in the head while on the job. Around 2 00 saturday morning, the officer and his partner witnessed three men holding up another group of men trying to rob them on the sidewalk near the caesars parking garage. When the two officers got out of their car, bullets started flying and everyone involved took off running. One of suspects shot one of the officers.
