The coroner spent the Early Morning hours at the home removing those bodies and this neighbor says he had no idea what happened until he got a call from his daughter and saw police outside. Happening now, we are getting an update from police in western pennsylvania after an officer was shot and killed in the line of duty. Here is a live look from the briefing in Westmoreland County where state police are discussing the shooting and the man arrested and charged with killing the officer. This is trooper steve lamone speaking now talking about the events that led up to the shooting. We are monitoring that to see if we get new details. Here is what we new york the officer lloyd reed was responding to a domestic call saturday night in new florence about an hour and a half east of pittsburgh. The 20year veteran died at the hospital. Ray shelter jr. Is charged with criminal homicide. He ran after the shooting and was arrested about six hours later. A wake for reed will be thursday, his funeral will be held on friday. Advised us that he was struck and also from the 911 transmissions or from the radio transmissions we understood that officer reed was telling us he was struck. Mr. Shelter took off on foot. He still had his long rifle. Officer dickered engaged him with gunfire as well. He was not hurt at all. Mr. Shelter escaped on foot. At that time, all Police Departments in the area were put on notice and rough lay sixhour manhunt ensued. At the conclusion of that sixhour manhunt, we received a 911 phone call that advised there was a male in the area of conemaugh generating station and Indiana State Police vehicle was sent there with two officers to respond. They found that man, took him into custody, identified himself as ray shelter jr. And at that time, mr. Shelter had what appeared to be a wound to his shoulder. Five philadelphia firefighters recovering after a fire truck on its way to a call crashed into a line of parked cars. Look at this Surveillance Video from yesterday morning showing the ladder truck barrelling down baltimore avenue before crashing in west philadelphia. You can see the truck with the firefighters inside fish tailing down the street, almost flipping on to its side. Witnesses said it sounded like an explosion. He lost control, i guess, and they took everybody, i dont know, they took other cars. There were parked cars . And two of the firemen, one flew out of the car. Witnesses rushed to help. Some of the firefighters were unconscious. We checked overnight. One of them is still in the hospital but is expected to be okay. No one on the street was hurt. And temperature also cooler than they were at this time yesterday in much of the area, but not a whole lot cooler. You can see that wind coming right in off the ocean and its not real strong, but its Strong Enough to prevent the temperature from rising very much during the day. Its also helping to increase the moisture and this is the latest as far as departures from normal for the temperatures for the entire month of november. Now, as we go through the afternoon, the clouds continue to thicken up and most of that rain you see on the radar not even reaching the ground. We are going to wait for this main area to start developing during the evening hours, so, 6, 7, 8 00, especially from delaware northward, we are going to be seeing some of that rain. Now the temperature doesnt really drop very much overnight. If anything, it goes up, but it stays pretty wet. By 7 a. M. , 51 degrees. Thats warmer than at any time today. So, we are not talking about a cold rain during the day tomorrow, but we have got periods of rain not amounting to a whole lot, not especially heavy. The heavier rain looks like it is going to be coming on wednesday, temperatures go even higher. Here is tuesday, 6 p. M. , up to 54 degrees. And then it looks like we get a bit of a break tuesday, heres tuesday night, but here comes more coming in on wednesday. And that wednesday rain looks like its going to be some of the heaviest that we are going to be seeing and there it goes. So, yeah. Its going to be wet for a while once it starts. For the rest of the day today, those clouds thickening up and the rain comes in, especially to delaware late in the day, temperatures generally holding in the 40s and then tomorrow, the rain comes in but its not as cold. 56 degrees.
