Reporter with two of her four children by her son, the wife of david oh left the hospital this afternoon in good spirits, encouraged by her husbands progress this as the search for the attacker continues. We were in the neighborhood earlier. People who live there know this is where the councilman lives, his mother lives nearby but you dont believe this was targeted. Absolutely not. Hes a good man. Reporter neighbors who is the block captain and helps take care of councilman ohs 96yearold mother heard the commotion. David oh began to unload bags from his suv. A man approached from behind. The councilman asked if he needed help. The man demanded keys to his car and stabbed him. Mr. David was out here and had his hands up to the shirt. His wife was frantic, he was trying to calm her down and then the police was on the scene. This guy was not going to stop. If the councilman didnt fight back he would have been stabbed multiple times. Reporter a camera that was just a few doors down from the councilmans house was not working. They have some cell phone video that a neighbor took of a white car in the area that seemed out of place. A man who beat her so severely shes unable to talk with investigators and still on a breathing tube. Tonight Philadelphia City councilman david oh is out of the hospital after someone stabbed him as he was returning home from work and justin past few minutes nbc 10 talked to him about the entire ordeal.
