Just some scattered light showers for Montgomery County and into the allentown area. Heavier showers are in the pocanos. And the chance for some showers will be with us on and off during the day. We are seeing that wet weather on the roads from the schuylkill expressway here to interstate 95. And just like bill mentioned, some of the low clouds and fog that could impact your visibility as you head out and about this morning. Overall, we are not seeing too much volume on the roads. Just watch out for any potential slick spots as you leave for work or school this morning. There is an accident in Montgomery County. Skippack township near cressman road. And on the interstates, still green lights out there not slowing things down too much. Just be careful on the roads. Overall, in new jersey, 295 and new jersey turnpike and the 42 freeway are all clear. Chris . At least one person died after this tornado touched down in Northern Illinois thursday evening. Take a look at this the town of rochelle took a direct hit. This is about 80 miles west of chicago. Damage is widespread and the extent of injuries still not known this morning. And forecasters say this storm could bring Severe Weather to the northeast today. Bill has more on that in a moment. And were following breaking news out of University City all is under control here with firefighters on the scene of a Dumpster Fire inside an apartment building. We just found out a few moments ago that firefighters have things under control there. And new from overnight, one firefighter is recovering from minor injuries after crews battled this house fire in the frankford section of philadelphia. This fire broke out at 1 30 on ridge street. All people in the home got out safely. The fire started in the home but no word on the exact cause. New this morning tensions have boiled over among leaders in the Delaware County town and our cameras were there as the Council Meeting erupted in shouting. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live in colwyn. Matt, we have been following the heated exchanges between Council Members for months but tell us what happened last night. Reporter it was heated again last night with a councilman making a motion to fire the code enforcer and then it got ugly. Take a look. You want the keys get a cop. Reporter after some fighting the Council Approved the firing and then the president tried to adjourn the meeting. Well, before there was a vote on that the remaining Council Members held their own meeting voting to fire borough manager paula brown who has been vocal as of late accusing Council Members of misappropriating funds. After firing brown, the Council Voted in fred lesher as Council President. Paul muser who walked into the meeting as president last night said as far as hes concerned he still is the Council President despite there being a forum at the meeting. He argues what happened illegal and calls this a coup. Ive been in politics 42 years. I think i have the most longevity farce being in the borough and with political experience. So i have never seen anything like this in my entire life. So its something that is going to have to be researched or investigated or theres going to have to be hard questions asked. Reporter this is not the first time we have seen fighting among colwyn Council Members. Theres a history here from the past few months. The Delaware County d. A. s office has been approached several times on the discord and theres currently a grand jury hear hearing on colwyn. The new borough president said they got rid of a fraction causing trouble. Listen to this Philadelphia Police are looking for the man who they say robbed a bank in University City wearing a topit is hat. The man handed the teller a note demanding money. We were there last night as crews were looking at the scene there. The robber got away with 400. And Philadelphia Police are looking for one of the gunmen in a shootout that happened between two cars on the road. It all started yesterday in south philadelphia and ended in University City. One of the men is in custody now. He was hurt during the shootout. And investigators believe the person who got away was in a van. And were getting more perspective on that Deadly Police shooting in south carolina. Thanks to video shot from the patrol car of the officer charged with the drivers murder. Late yesterday officials in North Charleston released this dash cam video from the patrol car of the former officer michael slager. The video from last saturday shows the traffic stop involving the south jersey native and the driver walter scott. Sla slager told scott he was pulled over for a faulty taillight. Scott said he didnt have license or registration because he was in the process of buying the car. After slager returned scott bolted from the car and then moments later the cell phone video caught slager shooting scott. This morning we are hearing from a sheriff in california who called this arrest video disturbing. Look at it. Hes ordered an internal investigation into how officers handled a suspected horse thief. They tasered him and several punched and kicked the man. They eventually took him to the hospital. Its unclear how badly hes hurt. Im just disturbed by what i see in the video. I dont need to jump to conclusions until we do a complete and thorough investigation. If our deputy sheriffs did something wrong, they will be put off work and dealt with appropriately. Right now the suspect is believed to be alive. Nbc 10 National Correspondent tracie potts has been following the overnight developments. Reporter Authorities Say the gunman kidnapped his wife in northeast washington, then headed to the Census Bureau in suburban, maryland. A guard was shot in the chest there. At the hospital his family learned he later died. The bureau was on lockdown as police searched for the gunman. I saw a guy right away really quickly, and a Security Guard was on foot shooting at the car. Im like, oh my goodness this is really scary. Reporter by then police were chasing the suspect through d. C. He shot at them in at least two locations before they rammed his car in a businessy nightclub district. They blocked the suspects path they collided with the suspect, there was an exchange of gunfire between the p. D. And the suspect. I felt like i was in a movie but this is real life. So i ducked down. Reporter one officer was shot and at least one other was hurt in the crash and the gunman was hit in the shootout after the crash. At last report, the gunman was still alive. Times has published a letter reported to be from millionaire real estate heir and murder suspect robert durst. Yesterday he pleaded not guilty to weapons charges in new orleans. Those charges are keeping him in louisiana even though he has waived extradition to los angeles where hes charged with the 2000 murder of a longtime friend. The l. A. Times posted a letter with a return address for durst at the louisiana correction center. The writer discusses living in l. A. And touches on politics and Health Problems but the letter says nothing about dursts legal challenges at this time. Dursts lawyer says the handwriting looks like his clients. According to an Associated Press report more than 18,000 medical appointments were delayed by more than a month in pennsylvania, but the vast majority of patients did receive care within 30 days.
