And he hasnt backed off the wall completely, but he is not going to push for the funding right now, the white house says. From democrats reaction from the two Top Democrats here who opposed this, nancy pelosi says that it is welcome news and its time for congress to act to prevent the shutdown. Chuck schumer said that this is good for the country, that the president is willing to take funding for the wall off the table.
