Wind gusts already at 32 miles an hour in philadelphia. 33 mile an hour in wilmington and at the shore hitting 40 miles an hour Atlantic City. Tropical storm force wind gust. Thats just the first part of the storm system. The other is the wind and the rain. The rain were in for heavy periods of rain at times. Meteorologist is stopping by with a look at that. Thats going be later today start tracking the heavy pockets of rain come in. Not looking at too much yet. Lighter rain and increasing winds. One this afternoon through this evening pockets of heavier rain and stronger winds pick up. Major closure, the new jersey turnpike and pa turnpike connecter bridge in both direction asis closed this morng for structural repair. Big delay there. We will be seeing a big delay because of that considering its closed indefinitely now. Get around the scene, take the Burlington Bristol bridge. Anywhere to get out of new jersey and pennsylvania, those bridges in the area, Burlington Bristol is the closest and well watch that for you for the morning to make sure and check on any openings. Northeast philadelphia, watch for a crash on route 1 northbound just around conley road. Well end on the vine street expressway, we are open in both directions. Leave with you with a good thing here. Vine around 24th street east and westbound no problems. Tracking weather means were tracking possible flight delays at Philadelphia International. Reporter you heard bill talk a couple minutes ago about that beach erosion and how likely thats going be and you can see exactly why. Were at the north end of North Wildwood and check out that surf. Being driven here into the coastline by those winds right off the ocean, you can see the ocean is crashing here up onto the rocks. Almost to the sea away where were stabbeding at second after. This high tide is happening now along the ocean front. It will be happening in about an hour or so from now along the back bays and thats when we could see and are expecting to see minor tidal flooding along the back bays. More likely well see more widespread tidal flooding during this afternoons high tide in about 12 hours from now. Major things were going to be seeing today, probably more significant than the flooding is going to be the wind. And wind gusts here along the coast. Very significant, potentially up to 60 miles ran hour later and that certainly can cause damage. So you see just how big those waves are. Closed through the entire morning rush and for a little bit of time as well. Big delays when all of these cars can get off. Cant exit from the new jersey. Burlington bristol bridge coming from new jersey great alternate for you there. Thats open. We have to be on standby for scheduled openings for the Burlington Bristol bridge. Its hazy out there because of fog weve been seeing the last couple of days. Plenty of moisture at the surface to tap into. Right now the only showers Atlantic City up past toms river. Thats what were looking at currently. What we will be seeing. Hour by hour forecast. Clouds as we sit currently. Later in the morning by 6 00 a. M. , start to see some showers pop up. I think this model is going aggressive with court and juthe breakings apart here. Goes through 9 00 a. M. Periods through the morning where you dont have rain falling. This will be in out scattered showers again light to moderate. Get into the afternoon. Now we start to see heavier rain. Yellows and oranges passing through. That passes right through philadelphia. And covers a lot of south jersey as we get into the evening. 5 00 p. M. This starts to clear out heavier rain. We could still see pockets of heavier rain through midnight to tomorrow morning.
