>> it's in the southern part of the country. it's about 4-and-a-half/5 hours from pour au prince. like most of haiti, it's beautiful. the beach has the coast. it's a very nice place. lots of americans, missionaries and workers. it's not as densely populated as port-au-prince, it was more powerful tan the one from 2010. we expect the damage to be less than what we have a quarter of a million in 2010. we still talk about catastrophe, thousands of people we expect will be declared dead from this earthquake. >> what have you heard so far from people in terms of how they are doing tonight? i hope your family and friends on the island are okay and that you have heard from them? >> thanks for asking. the southern part is where my family is from. my family left haiti a long time ago. so i don't have close relatives
