combination of diplomacy, economic incentives, military if we need it. we've still got a big job ahead in afghanistan, willie. the game has changed. we have to change with it. >> and richard haas, i'm not so sure everything was coordinated yesterday. they had the meeting. they both came out saying the same thing. the president got push back domestically, and sort of put a caveat to it all. i'm not so sure both sides didn't think this august 31st deadline, again, was not only in the taliban's best interest but the troops on the ground. i don't know too many demanders who want their troops staying there past the august 31st deadline, and i'm the one that was yelling on this show several weeks ago that we have to stay there and surround the place, and get as many people out as we can, but by august 31st, again, i think the sell by date is
