House fire on the east side of the valley this morning. Thankfully no one was hurt but the home is the scene of an ongoing homicide investigation, stemming from a previous fire. This fire happened after 1030 last night at a home near charleston and lamb. It took crews about 20 minutes to battle the flames. Back in november crews put out a fire at this same address, where four people were injured and a mans body was found inside. The man accused of brutally killing a 15yearold girl has entered a guilty plea, this offering little relief for her family, i do think theres going to be a little bit of closure, and we wont be waiting Javier Righetti , entered the plea yesterday, with no promise that he wont be put to death for the 2011 murder of Arbor View High School student alyssa otremba. Alyssa was abducted while walking underneath a tunnel near the 95 and grand teton, righetti admits to kidnapping, assaulting and stabbing otremba dozens of times before burning her corpse. A jury next month will consider wether righetti will be sentenced to death. Police are asking for your help to find two men they say tied up a 72 year old woman while they ransacked her house. It happened yesterday in sun city anthem. Henderson police say the men broke in with a gun and demanded cash and valuables. Neighbors in the a55nd Older Community say its hard to get to that area. Theres no quick freeway exits. So its possible the crooks knew exactly what they were doing. I have a friend whose a new york police officer, retired. He made an interesting comment. Tolavius timmons barricaded himself in his home last week, and witnesses told police they heard gunshots. Metro says they sent 8yearold nicky as a last resort to get timmons. And timmons hacked the k9s face several times. Metro says during the attack, they didnt hear a sound from nicky. In fact he was trying to go back in there and i had him by the collar i was taking him out to get him out of the way of the swat guys and i looked and is that from the looked down and he was bleeding all over the place. So we can continue to do what we were designed to do and thats to fill rooms in the destination.
