You can see that there is investigation on the scene. Theres a wheelchair, a paratransit bus is also there. We do know that one person did not survive as a result of being hit by a vehicle. We are still waiting on more details to be confirmed but we are looking at the scene and a closure on 40 near adaline about a block. Oh reporter yes, the information that we just got is that they are considering this a hit and run. They say that the driver who was behind the wheel of this white car was gone by the time that police got here to the scene. So they are searching for the driver of this vehicle. What they did say, is that the passenger of the vehicle was still inside. Essentially, the driver left his passenger behind at the scene of this dad rollover accident. And, we do not have the exact conditions of the passenger of that car but we know that he was badly hurt. It happened just before 6 am. It lost control took out a couple of power poles before landing on its roof. Right here is video of the man being transported that was the passenger inside of the car. We do not have an exact condition but his injuries are considered severe. We talked a short time ago with a man who was at the scene right after the accident happened. When i came around, they were just standing back around here. They didnt do anything. Even the American People, they said try to help him. And i said why dont you try. Reporter again, the passenger was transported in now being treated at the hospital. And now is being treated at the hospital. We are trying to get more information on the driver of this white car. The person was gone when they got to the scene. They have not offered a description thus far on the person that they are looking for but they are considering this a hit and run accident. And in the meantime, we should point out for people waking up and traveling through this part of oakland, foothill boulevard is shut down entirely. Thank you. We feel bad for the people that lost family members and brothers and like friends and the people that they loved. Several other memorials plan to remember what happened. The owner says she plans to reopen the nightclub sunday at a different location under the same name. In the meantime, the doctors and nurses at the Orlando Medical Center who treated many of those that hums are still coping victims are still coping with the tragedy. He calls the shooting a wakeup call for the medical community he visits hospitals around the country talking about how they should prepare for mass casualty event. When you get there, you have another 30 minutes or so to wait to get onto the bridge. At some point, this month, we will see traffic lightning up when we get closer to christmas time. As we look at some of these commutes we do have a lot slow traffic, it is slow on highway 4 down to 28 Miles Per Hour and on interstate and on interstate 80 out south, down to 10 Miles Per Hour. 580 on the Altamont Pass is improving a little bit. This was causing some slow traffic. Look at 680, 15 Miles Per Hour. Its not a great commute. There is also i want to mention, we still have a closure on 40th and add line because of a pedestrian killed earlier this morning about one block is closed. This is in oakland. We still have some people who are showing up in doing an investigation. This person here, the Police Officer is also doing some measurements its just a good area to avoid. Thank you. Theres another problem with the cliffside in pacifica. Christian captain is out there and because of erosion a footpath is offlimits right . Yes, i just spoke with a woman who is walking her dog she said one of the reason so many people relied on the path is because a lot of dog walkers would walk there dogs down there. And you can see, this is completely impassable. Now that the sun is up you can see this gaping hole and you can see a little bit of railing and places ended over the gaping hole obviously, its impassable at this time. You can see how dangerous this is. It is important to note that nobody was on the path when it was eroded out. This is the only one to get down to the beach which as we said it is popular with dog owners because it is an off leash area its a hotspot for people to come visit. Engineers are expected out here later today what if anything can be done to save or perhaps rebuild this path. We are also going to talk to the city manager. Neighbors have told us that they watched it eroded over the last week or so saying they kept away as they watch what started out as a small crack grow into a gaping hole. Last weekend a guy had his computer out there and he was trying to photograph and the waves crashed over his head. I dont take the dogs down there when he gets this high because its too scary. This is not the first major erosion concern in the area you probably remember be condemned buildings along the area because of erosion concerns. And, this path right next to the 310 is condemned and is empty at this time because of the risk of falling into the sea. And again, neighbors were telling us that they were watching the waves come in and hit the seawall and break over the path which seems to have eroded from behind. The concerns are not over yet. We are expecting king tides so we are expecting big waves tomorrow and on wednesday. So concerns about erosion are not over yet and with the forecast calling for rain we are expecting a possibility of even more problems because the sea would be eroding from the outside the water shedding from this hell here as we get rain so, clearly a lot of problems. We are hoping to talk with city leaders to find out what happened. Yes, there are reason reasons for concerns. Federal investigators finishing their work at the site of the deadly oakland warehouse fire. They have been there for more than a week looking into the cause of the fire. A federal investigators said that a refrigerator was rolled out but they are looking at other electrical items as a possible cause but they are not giving any more details. They will hold a News Conference want to give us the update. The first funerals for those oakland fire victims were held yesterday. Family members and friends of jonathan filled congregation bethel in berkeley. The life of the 34yearold visual media artist was remembered. I remember being put in a position of being asked what does your brother do exactly. He was just one of those many artists killed in the warehouse fire. The Animal Services were also held for the 17yearold who is the youngest victim of the fire. He was a High School Student and the son of in Alameda County sheriffs deputy. A fundraiser to remember those fire victims was held intent San Francisco. Guests donated at least 20 to get in. There was also a silent auction proceeds go to the fire relief fund. One staff member says that last nights event was personal for him because one of those victims worked as a sound engineer at the mezzanine. We appreciate all the support going out there we have lost a lot of people its a very tightknit community. We do care about each other and im hoping that theyd be doing exactly what im doing. Investigating several deadly accidents from last thursday until yesterday at least five people have died in accidents including a fiery crash that killed two people near capitol expressway. They say that the car crossed over the Center Divide lost control hit a sound while and burst into flames. The two people inside died at the scene. One man said he heard the impact from blocks away. It was just that big like 3 am 4 am wash. The crash shut down part of the capitol expressway the names of those two people who died have not been released. The accident followed another deadly accident early saturday morning. He was in the road and he was hit by a car at about 3 am the driver left the scene and has not been found. Police have not released the victims identity or any details about the suspects car. A man suspected of shooting two Police Officers has died. They say that the officers went to the house to serve a search warrant in a drug case. No one answered the door so the officers went inside both were shots. The officers fired back several shots at that suspect who died at the home. Police officers were rushed to the hospital one of them has been treated and released. The other officer has had surgery and is in the hospital. The Investigation Continues into an officer involved shooting. The shooting happened in a Shopping Center at about 5 30 pm. He says that his department received a report of a driver trying to hit a person walking on old redwood highway. Two officers responded and found a car matching the description. He tried to pull over the gold fourdoor car but the driver sped off. They chased the car for several miles and it ended at the winds are Shopping Center. Are deputies were involved in an officer involved shooting. The suspect shot at least one time. There are reports that he was shocked in the shoulder. They plan to book him as he was treated for the injury. The Petaluma Police department received a call saying that the 49yearold Christopher Eastwood was driving a gold jada and wanted to be killed by law enforcement. The Police Officers are being questioned the pedestrian was apparently not hurt. Another big snow storm heading towards the midwest. This is beginning to slow down pass the coliseum getting into downtown oakland 580 is also slow have been looking at the commute on the southbound 680 it has not improved driving from pleasanton down to three months. The oakland Police Department is searching for the driver who they say left the scene of this bad rollover accident and left behind his injured passenger. This is the vehicle involved in the crash. It is being towed away there is slow. It happened on foothill boulevard near 23rd avenue. Earlier this Morning Police say that the two men were inside of the vehicle which was going extremely fast when the driver lost control, the car rolled, took out a couple of power poles and landed on its roof. Let me show you some video, the accident happened just before 6 am. Two men, inside of the car and we watched as the passenger was trans ported. We understand that that man is in Critical Condition and again, by the time that police got here, the driver of the vehicle was gone. Officers are searching for him after this bad accident that left his passenger in the hospital. We spoke a short time ago with one man who happened to be driving by shortly after the accident happened. When i came around like 10 people were just like standing back like around and they didnt do anything. Even the American People they were saying, try to help him try to help him. This is video taken earlier this morning of a fatal accident involving a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Police are still investigating this accident. Its right near the oakland Boundary Line but it is in oakland. 40th st. Will not be passable at least for the time being. They will continue with their investigation. I also want to mention 23rd and foothill for a driver ran off and left the passenger badly injured inside of this vehicle that was at one point flipped over that person was left at the scene was taken to one of those hospitals. You can see, we caught it on video. That person did suffer critical injuries. This is a look at the bay bridge toll plaza. Backed up all the way out to the maze. A 25 to 30 minute delay before you make it past the metering lights. That does not include the time that it will take you to drive to the toll plaza. And, looking at the bridge we have had a lot of slow traffic. It has become even slower. Looking at san jose 101 that is slow clearing in accident near matilda and sunnyvale. Traffic is slow. Joining us live from the beach with a closer look at that damage. Yes, as you said, people are checking it out a lot of dog walkers this particular section is very popular because it was an off leash area. You can see, the path is completely eroded out. You can see all thats left are those rails that are suspended over that big gaping sinkhole the path close to the public and you can see why it would be dangerous and and passable at this time. No one was on that path when it collapsed. It appears that this is the only path. They washed it road that she wrote away saying they watched a small crack grow into a gaping hole. And they watched as waves came over and crashed over to the top of it and neighbors telling us that they are worried about the future of the path. Years ago there was a staircase here that washed away then they rebuilt this one about eight years ago. Now this looks like it might be gone. I hope not. This of course is not the only major erosion concern you may remember condemned buildings here because of the erosion concerns. The pats we are talking about is right next to this area. This is empty at this time because of the risk of falling into the sea. His neighbors have been demolished because of erosion concerns coming back to the light picture, concerns out here are not done yet. The biggest waves of the season are expected to hit tomorrow. And it is all working together to speed up erosion. We have contacted the mayor last night she said she was aware of what she calls a private property issue. Engineers are expected out here we are also trying to get in contact with the City Managers Office to find out what the future is of the path and what can be done to save it. Thank you. Federal investigators have finished their work at the site of the deadly oakland warehouse fire. They have been there looking into the cause of the fire. On friday they said that a refrigerator was ruled out as the cause. They are looking at other electrical items but they are not giving any details at this time we do understand investigators will be holding a News Conference tomorrow to give an update. The first funerals for the oakland fire victims were held yesterday when Memorial Service member family and friends of jonathan filled the congregation in berkeley. The artist was remembered with tears and some laughter. I found myself frequently in a position of being asked so, what does your brother do exactly . Jonathan was just one of those many artists killed in the warehouse fire. The services were also held yesterday for the 17yearold who was the youngest victim of the fire he was a High School Student in San Francisco and of the son of in Alameda County sheriffs deputy. The victims of the fire remember last night. Held at the nightclub. They donate at least 20 to get in there is a silent auction with proceeds going to the oakland fire relief fund. One of them worked as a sound engineer at that mezzanine. Organizers say that he reach out to them after hearing about the fire. It appears that inspection problems go beyond possible fire traps. The Fire Department was accused of doing a poor job of tracking Hazardous Materials last year they reportedly stripped the department of its a 40 to monitor Hazardous Materials. Police have not released the victims identity or any details. To georgia Police Officers were shot and wounded. The man suspected of shooting them has died. They said the officers went to the house to serve a search warrant no one answered the door so the officers went inside and both of them were shot. The officers fired several shots at the suspect who died at the home. The Police Officers were transported to the hospital. The other officer is in surgery and is expected to survive having Police Officers in georgia have been killed in the line of duty this year. The county Sheriff Deputies are investigating an officer involved shooting that happened at a Shopping Center. It occurred about 5 30 pm is sort of an a man Walking Around the highway reported a problem with the driver of a gold four door car. The suspect had tried to run them over while he was walking on the highway. My deputies responded to the area within three or four minutes they located him nearby where the assault was reported. They went to stop him. The deputies chased the gold car to the winds are Shopping Center. Earlier they received a call warning them of a man driving a gold jetta who wanted police to kill him. They say that the driver had a gun the sheriff said when the driver stopped he ran towards deputies pointing a black object at them. They pulled out their guns and fired several shots.
