I can tell you San Francisco police are maintaining a presence out here following last nights shooting. Officers right now are trying to track down the person who apparently opened fire into a crowd of people in front of this market at turk and taylor. The shooting was just before 9 00 last night. Seven people were hit by gunfire and all transported to San Francisco general hospital. Most of those bullets struck the victims in their arms and legs. Everyone who was shot is expected to survive. Before the shooting there was a fight of some kind involving a large group of people out here on the street. That is when someone pulled a gun and started firing. Now the shooter was able to get away in a car. Police though this morning dont have a description on that person but we are told they are checking surveillance cameras from nearby buildings hoping that can lead to the person who opened fire on a crowd of people hitting seven people leaving all of them wounded. The fouralarm fire was reported shortly before 5 00 yesterday afternoon at an abandoned building. The building once housed an auto shop. Burning tires sent up a thick cloud of smoke. It was very big. In fact, there are so many tires people throw tires here. Everyone. This empty lot. People throw garbage and everything. Luckily no one was hurt but the huge flames destroyed the building. Homeless squattered started that fire. Eight people have died and 18 people are still missing following this massive landslide. Saturdays landslide leveled one square mile. Local authorities are blaming the mud slide on last months heavy rainfall. The ground became so saturated with water that it just gave way. At least six houses were destroyed and 16 others damaged. Total devastation. This sun believable. It reminds me of what a tornado looks like when its touched the ground. While evacuation orders have been lifted, Authorities Say those orders could be reissued at some time. The governor says every effort is being made to find survivors. That would essentially charge an extra quarter for a 12ounce can of soda. It would generate more than 30 million a year for Childrens Health initiatives. Opponents say the tax raises the cost of living for consumers and hurts local businesses. The meeting will take place at st. Marys Medical Center at 6 00 tonight. Santa claire real county could be getting ready to crack down on ecigarettes. They will consider a resolution that would add ecigarettes to the current smoking laws. An australian search plane has spotted what may be debris from the jet. That is after a chinese plane saw two white objects in the southern indian ocean. There are ten planes involved in this search. In a News Conference just about two hours ago, malaysian authorities talked about the latest development. A few minutes ago, the Prime Minister received a call from the Prime Minister of australia who informed him that an australian search aircraft had located two on thes. One secular and one rectangular. If the objects turn out to be debris from the plane they could be retrieved within the next few hours. Authorities in chicago are investigating a commuter Train Derailment at Ohare International airport that injured 30 people. It was pull into the airport station when the trains went off the track. The head on crash happened late saturday night on east 14th street. Police say 19yearold jesus god these was speeding and drinking and driving. A boy is being remembered as a hero for sacrificing his own life to save his girlfriend. Hundreds of people gathered to remember the life of moore who was killed by a train while walking to a school dance friday night. Police say moore pushed his girlfriend out of harms way at the last second saving her life. Im so grateful that she is here but my heart is so heavy because he was amazing. Everything i would want my daughter to have for her life was an amazing man to love her and take care of her. The girl was hospitalized with critical injuries. Her family says she is awake and talking and today grief counselors will be at the school where moore attended. And a threeyearold boy is recovering after falling out of a second story window. Witnesses say around 5 15 yesterday evening, they saw the child fall from the window in santa rosa. The window was open wide enough for the child to crawl through. Police say his parents were not home at the time and his older sister was watching him. They say his injuries were minor and that a green awning below the window might have helped break the childs fall. We are learning more about a man that killed a sheriffs deputy. The registered guard reports that chainy was in jail two weeks before the shooting after Police Found Drugs and a gun in his car. He was released for lack of evidence. Police believe cainy killed a former university of oregon professor and carjacked a car and drove it to mendocino county. That is where he accused of killing the deputy before dieing in a shootout with fort bragg police. They will remember him later this week.
