Reporter according to the San Mateo Police department a man and a woman resembling these sketches tried to rob a retail store inside the hillsdale mall this past saturday around 630 in the evening. The suspects apparently forced an employee into a back room at gun and knife point. The suspects then asked then where the safe was, but according to police the store didnt have a safe. When they the suspects learned this they fled the store without taking anything. Police arriving on scene searched the area but couldnt find the pair. Sot it was crazy. Ididnt expect people to be waving guns around but yeah. Hillsdale is a very upscale shopping center. News of the attempted robbery took mall goers like Chris Crenshaw by surprise. Sot ive been here ten years and ive never heard of anything like this before. The first suspect is described as a black female, 510 tall, skinny with black hair tied in a bun. Shes approximatley 60 years old. The 2nd suspect is a black male, also about 60 years old, 6 and half feet tall, slender with short curly salt and pepper hair. He was wearing a zip up sweater with jean. A catastrophic computer failure. Thats what officials with the dmv are calling a computer failure that has crippled more than half its offices statewide.
