The first leg of a journey she hope ends in the white house. She announced her candidacy for presidency yesterday in an online video. This was a very low key launch by Hillary Clinton. This video she released features ordinary americans far more than herself. This soft launch was met with harsh attacks from the other side. Hillary clinton got into a van and started driving west sunday, stopping to meet this family from michigan during a gas station stop in pennsylvania. The former first lady hit the road right after she announced shes ready to run again. Im getting ready to do something too. Im running for president. Clinton ended months of speculation after making her announcement sunday in a campaign video. The video hints at the strategy shell use in her second run for president. Everyday americans need a champion, and i want to be that champion. Instead of massive rallies she intends to start off with a voter centric approach trying to connect with Everyday Americans in small groups in small towns. Clintons message will be a familiar one, helping middleclass families get ahead. Clintons run for president comes with formidable challenges. She faces on going questions about the benghazi attack and the personal email controversy. Hillary is ready. This new ad starts airing in iowa and three other early voting states today. Florida senator marco rubio is expected to announce his candidacy for the republican ticket tore joining rand paul and ted cruz of texas. The former first lady Hillary Clinton plans to use the next sick weeks to ramp up her campaign. There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage following a small earthquake in los angeles county. It was centered southwest of Downtown Los Angeles and felt across much of the county. Prosecutors in oklahoma are deciding whether to file charges against a 73yearold reserve deputy who fatally shot an unarmed black suspect. Defense attorney said the men fired in selfdefense. 11 educators convicted in the Atlanta Public School cheating scandal are scheduled to be sentenced today.
