As they have most saturdays, volunteers scoured morgan hill fields looking for any sign of sierra lamar. Christian hartnett has the story. We are taking the north end of the island. Reporter dozens of volunteers looked for any sign of missing seen sierra lamar. The searches have taken place almost every saturday since her disappearance on march 16, 2012. They have put in almost 60,000 hours looking for her family, but this is it. They are making the decision to end the search. We are exhausting our inventory of search areas. Reporter volunteers from all over have lent a helping hand. For all the volunteers, it has taught them a valuable life lesson. People who dont know one another have come to look for a missing girl. A child they have never met. It has brought people together for three long years. Reporter some in the search team believe her alleged killer knows where she is. One person knows, who did this. He can end the agony for this family right now. Reporter as the long run of organized searches comes to a close, sierras mother marlene gave a tearful word of thanks to those who took the time to search for her daughter. We never thought this was going to happen to us, but it did. And everybody, even the media, has helped to sustain us. It is just their way of showing that we dont want to give up. While the regular saturday searches will no longer go on, the family is hoping to receive some information about sierras where abouts and will be back out there searching. Christian hartnett, kpix5. The family of of a south bay teenager is getting more aggressive in demanding who beat their son. The attack was unprovoked. I want justice for my son. Because he is a good kid. Reporter maria rasner clings to her husband and the hope that police will find the person or the persons who beat her son, 17yearold Christian Rasner outside the san jose mall. He is not a member of a gang. He didnt deserve what he got. Reporter parents say wednesday evening two men inside the mall were harassing christian and a friend. Asked if they were gang members. As they tried to get away, the attack happened. Three days since, police have yet to release the Surveillance Video or name a single suspect. Release the video of the footage of those suspects.
