They want to know how a student got his hands on one of these and poke 14 different kids without anyone noticing and the School District is responding to their back lash. They say because the student denied poking anyone. Fact remains is it wasnt reported to us until several days later and as soon as we got those reports that some students were ecpoed and potentially at risk, we started an investigation. It was purple and it poked me in the arm. Right here. Brian, a second grader was one of the kids poked by another student at the elementary school. They previously found it outside on the sidewalk, meaning they a had to get blood tests to test for hiv and hepatitis. He was taken to the doctor and scared. His grandfather and guardian is upset it took the district so long to find out. He was poked with a needle and from now until who knows when, brian may come down with something and that is scary. Reporter the School District cant disclose if the boy who used the lancet was punished but students tell us he was suspended. Nervous days for those parents for sure.
