Some people think theyve taken over their neighborhoods, like this one on South Broadway near evans. Thats where this cap comes in. Its an idea from Denver City Council that would potentially change the current policy of no new pot businesses to only new shops or grow houses in certain areas that arent oversaturated. Its just an idea, not a proposal. But with this cap if a medical marijuana business couldnt open up another location, wanted to grow their business, under the cap it could become a dispensary instead. No new shop up the street, and also subject to more regulations and more taxes to the city. If it is less than the current amount of shops, when one pottntially lowering the number certain area. Now, this again is still just a proposal, proposed by one of the council women. Denver city council. The idea just to spread the wealth, if you will, of the number of pot shops, but still allowing new businesses to come lowering the number, potentially, depending what they settle that cap if this is approved. Potentially less pot shops in the area, but thats not the only proposal denver is looking at. Also potentially more lights on the 16th street mall. The city says they dont plan to replace the rest of the water, or the pipe where that break happened because there are other pipes in the city that need to be fixed. Kind of like their own little beach in loveland, colorado. 3 but the problem is all of this sand, and were talking about a lot, 18,000 tons of sand was deposited here on Lake Loveland. This is the south side of the lake back in the floods of 2013. Here now, theyve been brought in to remove the sand. Its affecting the amount of water that can sit hereein the lake. So the Water District says we have to get rid of it. Over the next two weeks they are going to be coming in and literally removing all of this sand, putting it in trucks and hauling it off to a different location and that way once the water levels are brought back up this next summer, youre going to see Lake Loveland a lot bigger than it has been.
