S. Thinks it will be safe because it is across an ocean there is no bigger misunderstanding than that. The warnings in response to the toughest sanctions ever passed by the u. N. Security council against north korea, which could cost the regime nearly 1 billion a year. These sanctions will cut deep and in doing so will give the north korean leadership a taste of the deprivation they have chosen to inflict on the north korean people. Reporter sanctions in the wake of north koreas alarming progress in its nuclear and missile programs, kim jongun launching a second Intercontinental Ballistic Missile just nine days ago, a missile potentially capable of reaching as far as the eastern u. Now the latest on President Trump and washington. The president in new jersey this morning, hes spending the next two weeks at his golf club there but insists this is not a vacation. Hell hold meetings and calls. This as senators on both sides of the aisle propose measures to make it harder for a president to fire a special counsel amid concerns President Trump could try to oust Robert Mueller, something he has not ruled out. Mike pence is calling it absurd but he has shown an unusual amount of political activity, even setting up a pac, and you see a lot of other republicans out there in the early primary state, as well. We havent seen this before so early in a term. Reporter were only six months in, 200 days in, george, but as you well know, president ial wannabes really begin preparing to run for presidt sometime after they get their drivers licenses in high sool. So its not all that unusual to see early activity. As for the Vice President , the key factor for 2020 is that donald trump may be historically unpopular at this point in his presidency. 33 Approval Rating in that quinnipiac poll last week but he remains incredibly popular among republicans in that same poll, 76 Approval Rating. I dont see a clear challenger yet. We are incredibly early and i certainly dont believe that theres any scenario in which that challenger is mike pence. And Kellyanne Conway challenging him but putting things in place in case President Trump doesnt run, even though Kellyanne Conway said yesterday he intends to serve two terms. The president also tweeting this morning that his base is bigger and stronger than ever taking on overall polls that show a low favorability but, as you point out, he is doing well with republicans even though were now seeing republican senators start to buck him more. Reporter we are seeing incredible independence among Congressional Republicans. Particularly in the senate. Look whats happened. Youve seen senators go forward to try to lay the groundwork to make it impossible for him to fire Robert Mueller as the special counsel. We also saw the defiance on the russia sanctions that was passed in the senate, 972, passed by an even more overwhelming margin in the house, something the president opposed, passed anyway. No question we are seeing Congressional Republicans willing to defy this president and at this point at least not paying a price for it. Jon, were one week into general kellys tenure as chief of staff. The president has been slightly less active on twitter and we are seeing other signs that general kelly is tightening up the white house operations. Reporter the biggest thing is the flow of people to meet with the president. It had been almost an open door policy during the first six months, george, where the president would see somebody on fox news in the morning, like what they said, give a call and they would be in the Oval Office Meeting with him a couple of hours later. Kelly has clamped down on that to get into the oval office, you need to have a reason to be there. He is attending those meetings and hes controlling who comes in and out and hes even on the phone when the president makes a phone call with members of his administration. Minnesotas governor is now calling it an act of terrorism and investigators say an improvised explosive device was thrown through a window just before worshippers gathered for prayers. The blast shattered windows and damaged an office. Nobody was injured. The fbi has joined the investigation, a 20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. And the wreckage of a u. S. Military aircraft that crashed off the coast of australia has now been located. Three marines are presumed dead after the osprey went down during a Training Mission on saturday. 23 others were rescued. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The osprey, which lifts off vertically like a helicopter, flies like a plane, has been involved in several recent crashes and in response the japanese government is asking us to ground osprey flights in japan pending the investigation. People in paulding county, ohio, are on edge as Law Enforcement agencies search for an armed and dangerous prisoner. The sheriff says that hes angry with himself that this happened and there are now changes under way to keep it from happening again. The search for an escaped ohio inmate armed with a deputys gun is intensifying. We have yet to find him. He has possession of a firearm. Up to 30 rounds of ammunition. Hes got to be getting cold and hungry. Reporter u. S. Marshals and the fbi are joining in for the manhunt for a man considered armed and extremely dangerous. Hes not a good guy. If you see him, call the police. Dont get near him. Reporter 32yearold brandon powell, charged with rape, escaped friday after overpowering an officer while being transferred from a hospital near toledo, where he was being treated for injuries he sustained from a Suicide Attempt while in jail. Security images show powell just before his escape, shackled at the hands, waist and feet. An officer escorting him to a police vehicle. According to police, once inside the vehicle, powell managed to put the deputy in a headlock crashing the vehicle before taking the officers weapon. Powell then forced the officer to undo his shackles before handcuffing him to the steering wheel. He then disabled the radio and car before fleeing on foot with the deputys cell phone, wallet and ammo. You dont take a pistol from one of my deputies and threaten him with it. He will be held accountable with that when hes located. Police say there have not been solid tips of sightings and has not tried to contact his family. A 2,000 reward was offered leading to his capture. The deputy who was transporting him at the time of the incident is said to be doing well. Thank goodness for that. We have the latest on the murder mystery involving a Northwestern University professor. He and a second man were caught near San Francisco after more than a week on the run and abcs alex perez is in chicago where it all began. Good morning, alex. Reporter hey, good morning, george. Authorities have been working nonstop trying to piece this mystery together. It took that nationwide manhunt to finally catch up with the suspects. This morning, Northwestern University professor Wyndham Lathem set to appear in court. Accused along with Oxford University employee Andrew Warren of brutally murdering 26yearold trenton cornellduranleau. Both subjects considered armed and extremely dangerous. Reporter lathem and warren surrendering to police and the u. S. Marshals in california on friday after a weeklong nationwide manhunt starting over 2,000 miles away in chicago, where the cosmetologists body was found stabbed to death in lathems luxury apartment building. Subjects last seen driving a 2007 gray hyundai passenger vehicle fourdoor. Reporter so far police have not released a motive and adding to the mystery, they believe the same day as the murder an hour away in wisconsin, the two suspects made a mysterious 1,000 donation to a Public Library in duranleaus name. What led that suspect or suspects to that location is still not known to us at this time. Reporter police say before he surrendered, lathem sent a video to his family and friends apologizing for his part in the murder calling it the biggest mistake of my life. This was clearly a crime of passion. These suspects clearly had some kind of relationship. They felt some sort of caring for the victim even though they were involved in his murder. Reporter and lathem is due in a california courtroom later today. Authorities here now working on having both suspects extradited to face murder charges here in chicago. George. Italian police this morning investigating a bizarre kidnapping case involving a british model. Allegedly drugged, bound and stuffed inside a suitcase. To potentially be sold on the internet to the highest bidder. For the first time, 20yearold chloe ayling is speaking out after she says she was kidnapped from what she thought was a photo shoot in milan ending up handcuffed to a wooden dresser for six days. Ive been through a terrifying experience. I feared for my life second by second minute by minute, hour by hour. Reporter telling police when she arrived two men posing as photographers drugged her with ketamine, a powerful sedative. Put her in a suitcase like in this police reenactment photo and put that suitcase in the cars trunk driving her to this remote cabin near the french border. Reporter it all goes back to denver in 2013, this photo obtained by tmz, now a key piece of evidence showing taylor swift backstage before her concert posing with deejay David Mueller and his then girlfriend. Swift claimed muellers hand grabbed her backside inappropriately and his Radio Station fired him, hes suing for potentially 3 million in damages. Trouble trouble trouble reporter but swift countersued for assault and battery claiming mueller took his hand and put it up my dress adding it was not an accident and says it caused her extreme anxiety. But mueller says thats not the case. In Court Documents a a radio interview insisting there was no inappropriate contact of any kind. My hand was never under her skirt. I never grabbed her. Reporter now its a legal he said she said. Swifts camp said the singer complained to her staff about it while mueller said he asked her Security Team to call the police. I didnt do anything. Last month a judge sanctioned mueller for losing or destroying four devices including a laptop and ipad that held copies of a conversation mueller secretly recorded with his boss the day before he was fired. That boss has alleged mueller may have changed his story. Swift is expected to take the stand saying in Court Documents she wants to hold mueller responsible and to serve as an example to other women in similar situations. One hurdle for taylor swift will be her lack of reporting to police. Especially given the fact that she is now claiming that the reason why she is countersuing is because she wishes to advocate on behalf of women and victims. Taylor swift has said that, if she does receive any monetary claims from this case, she will take those moneys and donate it to causes that advocate on behalf of women and victims. Reporter now this trial is open to the public but there are only 32 Seats Available in the courtroom every day and the court is already warning fans to leave those taylor swift tshirts at home telling them this is a serious trial, not a concert. Number two is the picture itself. I mean, his side is saying this helps us. I dont know how it helps look where his hand is. Its an odd spot for your hand to be when youre taking a picture with a celebrity that you dont know. Is it dispositive, will it make or break the case . No, but i dont know that it helps. Number three is the law. Hes basically claiming that she is the reason he got fired. You have to show intentional conduct on her part and number four is why, of all the people in the world, does she decide to make up a story about this guy . Right . I mean she just decides out of whole cloth you know what, im going to invent a story about this denver deejay, so there are a lot of problems, i think, for him. He has a lot of problems. What about her suit . Well, look, i think the Biggest Issue for her and you heard it in the piece is the fact she didnt report it to the police immediately. You can say, look, youre taylor swift. You have some guy who, you know, grabs your tushy and says, ill let this go. Im not going to call the police about it and she probably minimized it at the time but the bottom line is, once she got involved in the lawsuit she said, you know what, i was assaulted in the context of this. This wasnt as minor maybe as i initially made it out to be and as a result she then reports it. I dont see it being that big a deal. The key thing is how she will do on the witness stand. Hes not asking it it is getting i know we differ there, why did he put it on instagram or put it online, but dont we have to look at ourselves and look through our lens. Because some people viewed it positively. Some people viewed it negatively so do we have to look at ourselves and say, why do we feel that way. Its why its called social media. Emotional media. We all bring our feelings to what we post, and if youre a woman who doesnt feel good about her body, which im sure its every woman everywhere or most of us, youll read that and say maybe it was a nice thing to say but not maybe not entirely. Sometimes ive made her lunch and eaten a lot of it so this is just one of my favorites. Its turkey with avocado, green apple and mayonnaise that i kind of soup up with a little bit of Apple Cider Vinegar to give it brightness and use less mayo and healthy avocado. You brought us something that looks pretty enticing and not at all what i think of for school lunch. Yeah, well, what i have here today is a lunch box protein, fiber, all the things kids can customize and we have a light creamy dressing, we put a little over it. It goes straight in the lunch box, right. Very compartmentalize great for portion control. Its a winner for dinner, winner for lunch. I like that. And compared to a fast food takeout restaurant but from 900 calories to just 350 we shed a lot of fat and add all the things kids like. Thats the thing. You did well. Over to alice choi. I have chickpea veggie meatballs. Great option. Chickpeas which is my main source of protein, corn, zucchini, eggplant, pulse it in the Food Processor and put it in the bowl mixed with panko ground flaxseed meal added nutrition and fiber and lemon zest to brighten it up. Mix everything up together and form and shape your meatballs and bake in a 400degree oven and make a big batch, bake it and freeze them and then theyre good to go to reheat on the morning of.
