They were calling for the people it come out. At least two were arrested. Neighbors tell us tiffany li lives here with her parents. Shes in the San Mateo County jail. The second person is kaveh bayet. We are told by multiple sources that hes her current boyfriend. Its disturbing to neighbors. Sites very, very sad. Its disturbing that this happened. I cant imagine it. Keith green used to be in a relationship and shared two children with tiffany li. He was reported missing last month, and his cell phone was then found in golden gate park. Several days later he was found dead. His body dumped near heelsburg in sonoma county. I buzzed the front gate hear several times to see if anyone wanted to talk. We did see two women inside holding a child, but no one answered. Green had been staying with family friend angela dunn when she went missing. She told me by phone she talked to his mother and they are all relieved there is an arrest in this case. In hillsboro, abc7 news. Abc News Reporter vic lee first broke the story on twitter. San Francisco Police are investigating a double shooting in the citys north beach area near San Francisco and Taylor Street it happened just after 10 00 last night. The victims were taken to San Francisco General Hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. No arrests have been made and a motive is still unknown. In the south bay investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that chased a san jose family out of their home. A neighbor took this cell phone video of the fire on sagewood lane in East San Jose around 4 30 yesterday afternoon. The Fire Department said the flames started in the garage, rapidly spreading through the rest of the house. The family was home. Everyone ran out before the fire consumed the entire twostory house. San jose firefighters responded just in time to keep that blaze from spreading to adjacent homes. The whole thing was on fire, it was very scary. The good thing was the occupants were out. In about ten minutes we took we saw the Fire Department coming in and they take care of it. The red cross helped the displaced residents find a new place to say. The Fire Department said the home is a total loss. In oakland investigators are looking for the cause of a devastating fire that destroyed three east oakland businesses. It happened early yesterday morning at the corner of 73rd avenue and mcarthur boulevard inside a commercial building. Flames raced through a pharmacy, a nail salon, a cell phone store, destroying all three. Twelve fire engines responded and they encountered difficulty because of the wrought iron security gates and other barriers. Its pretty bad because its a common area, so its easy to go from one space to the next. I believe all together it is maybe like 11 units involved. One of the affected Business Owners said hes planning on rebuilding. Hes already signed a lease at a vacant building across the street with plans to set up shop there. Firefighters from throughout San Mateo County spent yesterday gearing up for fire season. Abc7 news was on San Bruno Mountain where crews practiced digging containment lines on hilly terrain. Wildfire season starts next month and lasts through october. The county wants fire crews to be wellprepared. The vegetation is there. Its there and its always a threat. Every year, as the grasses dry out and hot the weather comes, theres always that potential for a wildfire here. More than 50 firefighters took part in yesterdays exercise. Its one of many more planned before wildfire season hits its peak. A new era in saving lives began this weekend when patients moved into the brand new zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. Staff members spent hours wheeling patients from the 1970s vintage building to the new tower. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, dr. Priscilla chan, donated millions to the new hospital. It was built with the patient in mind. Thats why all the rooms are private with beautiful views of the city and its seismically safe. That was the fundamental reason for rebuilding. The new hospital includes a much Larger Emergency Department with 59 treatment rooms. Thats more than double the amount of rooms in the old hospitals. Sf general is the only Trauma Center to treat seriouslyinjured people in San Francisco and northern San Mateo County. Its considered a south bay landmark, an institution of sorts. And its closing. Scientists are trying to prevent sea turtles from the threat of extinction. A study found that when beaches are cleared of manmade and natural debris, the turtles were 200 more likely to nest. Researchers believe Beach Restoration projects could help the population resurge. At least four sea turtle species are listed as endangered or critically endangered. At every school one exceptional student earns the title for valedictorian for having the best grade point average. But in the small town ever middletown, there is a twist. Heres reporter wayne freedman. In fireravaged middletown, springtime has brought a renewal of faith and optimism. You see it in the seasonal flowers and construction thats replacing the burned homes. Some 1200 of them. And in Middletown High School we found four graduating seniors with a number in common. 4. 19. 4. 19. That would be 4. 19. [speaking foreign language] that would be 4. 19. Four valedictorians sharing four 4. 19 gpas from this years graduating class. Does he help with homework . I never needed help with my homework. Well, they didnt skip a grade. You did . Yeah. 4. 19 times 4. How can that happen . Statistically its more likely than you think. All four kids made straight as in all of their core classes. All four kids made straight as in the same ap classes. Statistical tie. Turns out the principal has witnessed this before. We had five last year. More in common, all four are athletes, all four were eagle scouts. All four have known each other most of their lives. All four still have their homes. Jake and jonathan will go to Brigham Young university, parker to u. C. Davis, trevor u. C. Berkeley. We asked if there should be a valedictorian tiebreaker. Riding a bike. Solving a rubiks cube under a minute. Mud wrestling. Ticktacktoe. Thats a game of wits right there. Still smiling after the difficult year that all of middletowns class shared.
