The suit filed in Alameda County superior court alleges exposure to the companys roundup weed killer caused them to develop cancer. The metropolitan Transportation Commission is talking about installing some cameras and other technology to try and bust people who are not carpooling or in clean air vehicles. Then also theyre talking about extending carpool hours. This is carpool lane only from 3 30 to 7 00 p. M. The backup starts well before that around 2 30. Theyre talking about extending those hours even earlier to the midday. There is chp officers, there are chp officers out here frequently. But not everyday. Theyre not able to bust all of these people who are on the carpool lanes when they shouldnt be. Theyre also talking about similar changes on highway 101 through marin and sonoma counties.
