Its their effort to find out more about the death of a couple late last month. The bodies of valerie and roger morash and two cats were found in their units. Residents are being asked to turn on their heaters all night and being strongly urged to evacuate. The implication is the couple was killed by Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Im nervous, im stressed out every day. I just really wish that the detective would return our calls. And communicate more with us as to whats going on. Because this is not considered a mandatory eevacuation, neither the Building Owner nor the Police Department are going to be paying for the tenants 24hour relocation. Police say the man threw that device into the restaurant and then took off. The explosion, of course, scared the customers, but police say somehow no one got seriously hurt. Parents, you have likely heard the warnings about those laundry pods and kids thinking theyre toys or candy. Now there is a new reason to keep them away from your kids. More and more toddlers are getting chemical burns in their eyes from the laundry detergent packets. Experts say the number has spiked in cases of the packets breaking and then kids getting it squirted into their eyes or the detergent getting on their hands and then rubbing their eyes. The number of cases has skyrocketed from less than 1 in 2012 to 26 in 2015. Bay bridge toll plaza definitely crawling here and it is a wet and windy commute. We do have high wind advisories for the bay bridge and the richmondsan rafael bridge and mike youve been telling us all morning as well. Its going to continue through the morning rush hour. This came in a little bit later as we expected and came in with a little more punch. Quarter of an inch the last six hours on the san mateo bridge so you can see it is wet and raining lightly there. Heres a look at the big picture and you can see the yellows and the oranges really starting to arc their way into the eastern sections of the bay area and its going to push into the Central Valley, probably by about 7 00 just like we talked about yesterday. Just getting word that weve got a full closure of highway 29 at Napa Junction road and this is due to flooding. So we just got this alert into the news room. You can see that purple there filling in on our traffic flows. As far as i know, this is both northbound and southbound so both directions and that is a flood prone area and we knew that was definitely a possibility this morning. So far, 37 is fully open in the novato area. In the meantime, we have another crash in the east bay, westbound 580 at lakeshore, weve got a crash blocking the two left lanes so that is very heavy as you approach lake merit, 880 on the northbound side looking pretty good for an alternate right now. If youre traveling southbound 880, we have yet another rollover collision right around 16. Thats not causing too much of a backup yet.
