Buckner and we know you're going to be blessed by our program tonight and thank you for joining us and they have been doing a series entitled trivia questions and answers about the Bible and we want you to get your Bibles out and your pants and your paper and and such a recorder and we're going to take you to a test to see how much you know about the Bible and the purpose of this is to help you to grow in knowledge and wisdom of the Word of God And so that's what the Bible commands us to do and you know this trivia question is something that you can use for family you can use it with your church you can use it with your Sunday school with Bible study you can use it in so many different ways so when encourage you to take notes and if you don't get all of the notes down we do make the cds available for you so you can be blessed that way as well so when encourage you to join us tonight and be blessed as we get into these trivia questions regarding the Bible Well let me get into the 1st question number one who was the 1st abandoned child mentioned in the Bible the for. 1st of bad then child mentioned in the Bible Now think about that and don't just rust answer it think about that and we'll give you a 2nd and the 2nd to think about this now the answer to that is it was Moses Moses we find in Exodus 2 in verse 3 we want you to write down these verses scriptures Well a most mother you know dealt with him in this area and when she could not longer hide him she took him an ark and Ark and a bull rush and put the child there and and she laid it into the flax but the reverse brink and it just went right on down to the now to Egypt so most of us was the 1st abandoned child mentioned and the Bible did you get that. Curious to find out how many people got that. Second question is this and we want you to write this down as I said and go back home if you're out in the car and share it with the family or have the family but the family right now share it with each other you know test each other number 2. Did 10 Commandments had writings on one side or both sides that the 10 Commandments writings on one side or both sides I think about there for a minute or 2nd. Now the answer to that is this the 10 Commandments had writings on both sides a lot of times when we see movies a sort of light that we see it's just opened up right but it had writing on both sides and we know that from Exodus 32 in verse 15 Write that down Exodus 32 in verse 15 it says and most is turned and went down from the Mount and the 2 tables of the testimony were in his hand and the tables were written on both their sides on notice that written on both their sides on the one side and on the other were they written really something interesting to know and we hope that you knew that if you didn't well we trust that you gutless but tonight Question of the 3. In The World Today we talk about right handed people and left handed people as well that's what we do and many of us don't run across many left handed people and we know that for sure in life. When we do this very unique. Question Did you know that the Bible speaks about the 1st left hand that man and the Bible the 1st left handed man in the Bible who was the 1st left handed man in the Bible Well think about that for 2nd. And the answer is as you turned in your Bibles you will find that it says in judges Justice chapter 3 verse 15. It's talks about there and justice 3 in verse 15 but when the children of Israel cried into the Lord the Lord raise them up to be delivered by he could eat Hood. The son of. First left and that man mentioned in the Bible the last question is this one here. Question for did the law cut Sampson's hair now think about that because this is a puzzling question a lot of times we have learned in Sunday school and even in Bible studies many people were taught that the Laila cut Sampson's hair. The question is Is this true from a biblical perspective and think about that now and the answer to this is no why because Judge just 16 of verse 19 it teaches that a barber cut his hair and we learn about this and judge of 16 in verse 19 just a 16 and 19 and it says and she made him sleep up on her knees and she called for a man know that she called for a man she didn't do it she calls for a man and she caused him to shave off the 7 locks of his head and she began to afflict him and his strength went out from him now how does she do this now this is something that you gotta watch out men especially when women have wrong motives right the Scriptures let us know every story all something that you know what how she got to him was this she had cry not only one day she cries 7 days now women who are trying to get to you men and you've got to be strong and now if they are crying for the right reason you need to listen but they're crying for the wrong reason the little crowded with the wrong reason I see their doctor but my wife works on me every time. So she cries 7 days 7 days to get to him. And after one day she couldn't 2nd day 3rd day 4th day 5th day 7 day he said I'm given in so there are women out there that know how to get to men through their through their emotions and you need to be careful women about that but if your motions is guided by the Word of God It's a good thing but if you're motions as guided by the flesh as a bad thing now priestess sermon one time and title you might want to write down the title this a catchy title. Who is cutting your hair that's an interesting title who's cutting your hair because there's a lot of a lot of things in our world today this cutting our hair and may not be a Delilah may not be a woman doing it but the flesh can touch your hair Satan can cut your hair the world can cut your hair you can cut your hair and there are so many things that can cut your hair and you will regret it when it happens to you now these are some exciting questions and we're going to continue these trivia questions as we continue to learn more and more about the Bible there's so much to learn about the Bible which is the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation it is exciting and this is a good way to get people into the word and get the word into them and Jesus said men so not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God You need to know the Word of God You need to study the show yourself of proven to God work and then not to plus but rightly interpret ing the word of truth and we trust tonight that you really got blessed in that you learned something and not just talking about laypersons But preachers that are listening to this we trust that you learned something tonight that's new and different and unique you know like I said before so the people before I said do not know that there was a woman. Named Noah in the Bible they were shocked when they heard that it was a woman named the one above us so much to learn and so he that has an ear let him hear what the Bible says regarding all of these trivia questions and more to come Jim before we go to the commercial How did this minister to you and how did this touch you and what did you learn tonight besides. The crying 7 days. Well you really got me on the 10 Commandments being only on. The on both sides of the tablets if you 1st said that asked that question and then I myself was only on one side because in my mind and I think maybe I got this from some movie that where it happens it's that God is the commandments into the stone and then they separates the stone from the actual you know tablets from the stone so that makes sense that they would be on both sides but there was their idea in Scripture Perhaps that is so true. We have to differentiate between Hollywood and fiction and the Word of God you know and Hollywood says a lot of things. I remember even one time doing research on the exorcist right and I remember doing lectures on it because there were so many people you know God takes something that is meant for evil and bring good out of it and so I remember when the exorcist 1st came out there were people so scared that they were running to Billy Graham to be ministered to and to Catholic churches to go to exorcism and all of this and so sometimes God Now certain moves to scare the hell out of you so that you will get heaven then you you know a lot of people say no I'm bracing Hillis and no you need to lower heaven that's what you need to do and so this is the thing that in The Exorcist they had Linda Blair who originally it was a guy who got demon possessed. Yes in a it was in a house it was not in the hospital and so what happened was when Linda Blair got didn't possess a hit went around in a circle a circle and circle well into a lot of that where that happened his own Rohloff But there's you have to differentiate between Hollywood and truth and that's what we're all about is making giving the truth because Jesus at the truth will make you free and we know that Christians cannot be demon possessed they can be oppressed but not demon possessed and even in the movie The Exorcist they had a 2 priest getting demon possessed so it's just contrary to the Word of God but you were saying about how you learned something from that yeah you know I don't think I really want to make a comment about it is that you know this obviously learning about the tablets and whether or not it was on both sides or one side that's not going to get you into heaven salvation gets into heaven but this did illustrates the importance of actually turning to the real source of this information which is the scripture and reading it for yourself because you're not going to get this sort of information you know by watching t.v. Or by this in and even to a good sermon the truth is that we all need to be in the Word and need to be reading it for ourselves and and I think I was listening somebody talk about how every time they read the Bible it's like they it's like God inserted some new scriptures they they never seen before I think happen to me right right you know you're reading through and you're like I've never read that before and there it is yes you learn something every time you read the Bible and this is why Jesus says Search the scriptures for in you think you have eternal life and they are they that testify me so we have to search the Scriptures we get to get into the word because it's so many spiritual nuggets there and this is what we're trying to do you know like you said it doesn't this these trivia questions this has nothing do with so much your salvation but it has to do with your growth and your knowledge and your will.
