Visitation is from 4 to 8 monday at the south Calhoun Middle School in rockwell city. The funeral will be at 1140 bemino will be sunday afternoon at Lutheran Church of hope in west des moines. Family members say the man Cedar Rapids Police shot is doing a little better. A cedar rapids officer shot 37yearold Jerime Mitchell during a traffic stop near coe College Early tuesday morning. Police officer fired a weapon, hitting mitchell in the neck. Mitchells brotherin law told tv9 mitchell is in critical condition. A family spokesperson says they are not endorsing any protests or public vigils connected to his case. In a tv9 update, were learning more about a deadly crash on county home road north of cedar rapids yesterday as 2 young people died. One was a Linn Mar High School student who died in an apparent chainreaction crash. The linn mar principal says an High School Student is in critical condition. The Linn County Sheriffs Office says a pickup rearended a car, pushing the car into another pickup yesterday afternoon. 5 people were in the car. The drivers of the 2 pick up trucks were not injured.
