For the part of North Liberty city School District, School Leaders made 2 changes this school year that could push more kids to walk to school. The city repainted all crosswalks. Deere and company is cutting production at its waterloo plant until at least october. Police say a man was stabbed in his upper body, lockdown for a short time during their investigation, but that has since been lifted. When they arrived, they looked through the window, saw a none responsive individual they could render aid. Where they discovered a deaseaded adult male, a deceased adult female, and a deceased dog. The victims names have not been released pending notification of family. A jury will soon decide if a waterloo man is guilty of 1st degree murder. Yesterday, jurors heard closing arguments in the trial of perquondis holmes, who is 25 years old. Prosecutors say holmes fired gunshots at a car that had pulled into an the shots killed daequan campbell, who was 18. This is the second time holmes is on trial for the death. A judge threw out his previous conviction because the trial included evidence that jurors werent supposed to see. Authorities in Jo Daviess County are asking for help to find someone who broke into trailers, stealing construction tools. Our coverage partner kd th says it happened last weekend.
