One person is dead and two others are hurt this morning from a shooting on a Tennessee College campus. It happened at Tennessee State university in nashville, where Police Say Two men may have been gambling. They say the person who died was not a student. Authorities have not said if they found the shooter. Just over a week ago, three people were hurt in a shooting across the street from the same college. Dubuque wants to make the city safer. So far this year, police say theyve taken nearly 30 reports of gunfire. So a Nonprofit Organization looked for help from someone across the pond. The group invited an officer who works in the scottish Violence Reduction unit to talk about making the city safer. The Scottish Government says last year, it recorded its lowest level of crime in 40 years. Many credit the low rate to some of the toughest gun control laws in the world. It includes filling out extensive paperwork. And proving to police that the potential gun owner isnt a danger to society. Their sister Elizabeth Olinger and her husband peter provided getaway cars in the robbery. Prosecutors also said it was elizabeths idea to rob the bank. She received the longest sentence at 16 years. Peters sentence is 10 years. During the sentencing, a judge called the plan more sophisticated than usual robberies. In this case, the brothers left the bank in a getaway car that Elizabeth Olinger was driving. The three met up with peter, where they burned the first getaway car and switched to another car. Deputies arrested the four hours later during a traffic stop. An Energy Extravaganza is set for tomorrow in decorah.
