Unemployment at a 50year low. Earnings rising, not just for everyone, but fastest for the lowest paid, ending nearly 50 years of stagnation. How are the Establishment Republicans reacting . Donald trump ran as a celebrity as has become the worst president in history. Normal working americans are sad and embarrassed and exhausted. The vast majority of americans dont think hes doing a good job. Think hes a bad president. Think hes compromised by a foreign power. Think hes dishonest and think hes lawless which of course he is. Hes an awful representative not only to the Republican Party, but the human race. Steve the never trumpers published a manifesto in the new york times. As americans we need to stem the damage he and his followers are doing to the rule of law, the constitution and american character. That resolution offered no criticism of the president or his policies. It didnt even include general soleimanis name. It laid out the serious threat that iran poses. It established a robust basis for our selfdefense. I think the killing of soleimani would have been justified under the war powers resolution. I think i was advancing an America First trump doctrine. But this is more important than any one president. I dont think any president should have the ability to commit our troops tonedless wars. And i think it was resolved by washington in 171. Im total in 1791. We see that we dont have to engage in a forever war to win in the middle east. President trump has proven by enhancing americas economy, we strengthen the tools in our arsenal to engage in check wars. The iranian re ijams crumbling under the maximum pressure campaign. But i think making our country stronger and making sure we dont let any president in the future making the mistake of the obama doctrine. Steve you were pretty much the star of the impeachment hearings in the house. You have that opportunity to show what a ludicrous process it was. We dont see that when it gets to the senate. They will be debating it and there will be a trial. How do you see this unfolding in the senate when it finally gets there . I think the president has very good counsel. And its my anticipation that our Opening Statement will lay out the hypocrisy of the house democrats. First they said it was an emergency. The president was a clear and present danger to the country. Then they sat on the impeachment articles for weeks. They told us the fbi did nothing wrong. Then the Inspector General points out how time and again the fbi altered evidence and wasnt straight with the fisa court. I think framing this not just in terms of the ukraine but in terms of the coup attempt to go against everything our great president is trying to do. We have to win the case with the American People that this is the radical left unable to win an actual presi.
