April 5, 2021 Just a quick heads up about the extra RPD patrols in the City of Rochester starting this weekend. If you didn’t already know the Rochester Police Department will be on foot and on bikes in certain city neighborhoods. The areas the RPD will target are the neighborhoods that have higher incidents of crime. They will also target people that have a history of gun-related violence. RPD Chief Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan said the locations are based upon real-time analytics. This is because of the recent violence that has claimed the lives of 3 people in a 24-hour time frame. The goal is to curb the violence in city neighborhoods.
