the folks wanted to give everyone a quick update on what to expect from the system coming into Wednesday, coming Wednesday and Wednesday night. Have a lot of rain cold rain on Wednesday. And then we'll see that chance that some wet snowflakes Wednesday night or Thursday morning when a storm watches issued for Benton Carroll County in the north Arkansas. That's those Those were issued mainly for the higher elevations, where the highest snow totals will be that where the greatest confidence snow accumulation wet snow accumulation will be Benton in Washington County was certainly could see an accumulation of wet snow. Aziz. Well, but the confidence and the chance in general for accumulation Benton in Washington County Um, not as high as it is that those higher elevations in the Ozarks, of course, the higher elevations of southern Washington County. Confidence is pretty high. That will have some accumulation there as well. They just weren't added, for whatever reason, to the Winter storm watch. All right, let's time everything out here for you and take a look at what we can expect as we go into our Wednesday. Spotty showers start coming in Wednesday morning. Aan den just often on showers throughout the day. Both the River Valley and Northwest targets are kind of a cold rain. Temperatures in the forties most of the day. Chilly, chilly for us, for sure, a surly is late tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow evening we could start seeing some wet snow mixing into parts of the higher elevations of Madison Newton County. And then later on Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, we start to see more of that wet snow mixing in, uh to Northwest. Other parts of northwest Arkansas, including parts of Benton in Washington County, could even see a little bit of in East Oklahoma. That's what our in house model is going with. That's a possibility. Fort Smith, Van Buren East. I don't I don't know, maybe some wet snowflakes Thursday morning, but it Z not particularly likely. It's possible, but not particularly likely. You get out toward Sallis on areas west of that, and it's a little bit more likely. But even poto in the evening and callina? Yeah, maybe, but e don't know Fort Smith, Van Buren and East. It looks kind of unlikely, but not totally out of the room. Possibility. Um, either on certainly off and on wet snow Rain mix continues in the Thursday morning in northwest Arkansas. I think we'll have a chance even in the early Thursday afternoon. But temperatures never get below freezing. They probably don't even ever get to freezing in northwest Arkansas. So, at most more than likely to some wet roads, um, generally dusting to maybe a Muchas three inches of wet snow accumulation in Benton in Washington County. Aan den Higher total is possible. Maybe more of a one inch toe, three or four inches in the lower elevations of Madison Carroll County. Higher elevations. Kind of a 2 to 7 inch range. Eso higher up and farther east you go. And further south in the southern Madison County, you go, the more accumulation you're. You're probably going to get those air areas where roads could become more of an issue. But unless you really reach those two or three inch amounts in north met in Washington County, there probably won't be problems on the roads. Uh, just wet roads, uh, into early Thursday morning. So I think we know a lot Maura's. We go into tomorrow. We'll do another one of these updates for you and continue to watch it for you got more information coming in the weather center as we speak and soem or details on all of it at nine of the C W 10 49 of course, on sunrise in the morning with meteorologist Laura Huckabee, she'll have more information. All this is well, so something to watch, but again shouldn't impact the roads too terribly much for most of Northwest Arkansas, a t least the urban corridor. We'll continue to watch it. In the meantime, keep it to the 40 29 will keep you up.
