Paul Ray, chair of redistricting committee, resigns from Utah Legislature

Rep. Paul Ray is resigning from the Utah House of Representatives to become the assistant director of legislative affairs for the Utah Department of Health and Human Services. Ray recently chaired the Utah Legislative Redistricting Committee, which oversaw the passing of Utah’s new reconfigured voting districts. Critics of the process accused the committee of gerrymandering.
