The whole-day event will start from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Robinsons Place Ilocos Al Fresco area and is subject to minimum health and safety protocols. Anne Marie Lizette B. Atuan, manager of the Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO), in an interview Thursday said jobseekers may pre-register starting Feb. 4 by visiting an online platform https://workin.ilocosnorte.gov.ph to learn more about the job opportunities available in the province and abroad. "With our large database of job vacancies, you will surely find something that fits your interest," she said. Participated by local and overseas companies, top occupations needed in the province include customer service representatives, collections specialists, financial advisors, healthcare professionals, delivery porters, and factory workers among others. The provincial PESO advises interested applicants to wear business attire, and to prepare multiple copies of their resume or curriculum vitae, and 2x2 ID pictures. The Capitol job fair is part of the provincial government's goal to increase employment and maintain the low poverty rate in the province. Based on the "Work in Ilocos Norte" database, there are more than 3,671 job vacancies from at least 77 partner agencies. The PESO is also inviting other employers in the province to register with the Ilocos Norte government's online job portal to hire the best employees who match their needs. (PNA) }
