OhioHealth Operating COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic At The Friendly House Friday

May 6, 2021
(MANSFIELD, OH)— OhioHealth has partnered with The Friendly House to operate a “pop-up” COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the underserved neighborhood of Mansfield’s North End. OhioHealth Wellness on Wheels will administer the first dose of the two-stage Pfizer vaccine on Friday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at The Friendly House, 380 N. Mulberry St., in Mansfield. Walk-ins are welcomed.
This vaccine location is in addition to the OhioHealth Ontario Health and Fitness Center, 1750 W. Fourth St., which has been OhioHealth’s centralized location for vaccine administration in Richland County.
“It was important to us that we bring the vaccine to areas that do not have the same access to healthcare as other areas of the county. We are striving to make healthcare equitable and accessible to all,” said Vinson Yates, president of OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and OhioHealth Shelby Hospital. “It’s been a pleasure to work with the Friendly House, which is a cornerstone in the North End community, and we hope to work with staples in other local communities as we expand our vaccine distribution.”
