Fay, who has been living with Huntington's disease, passes away peacefully surrounded by her family after developing pneumonia.
Digital Spy recently caught up with Zoe Bertram, who plays Fay, to hear her thoughts on leaving the Aussie soap.
Can you tell us how this final story for Fay came about?
"Fay has had Huntington's for a while and unfortunately there is no cure at this stage. I really hope one day there will be. So we knew that it was going to come to an end at some stage or another.
