around 3:30 this morning. it was the same house that caught fire yesterday. part of the roof collapsed in the home was boarded up, but fire officials say that some of the embers may have rekindled and started another fire. firefighters covered the house with foam this morning to keep it from flaring up again. so far no injuries have been reported the san francisco public works directed mohammed nuru and restaurant owner nick bovis scheduled. >> reporter: good morning. mohammed nuru and nick bovis are scheduled in corporate bond hearing later this morning and both men are charged with fraud in connection with the corruption case involving the san francisco city contracts. the director for department of public works is on administrative leave with the alleged involvement in the scheme to bribe the san francisco airport commissioner with the help of the restaurant owner nick bovis. they are accused of working to get cash and free travel in exchange for winning a contract for restaurant without competitive bidding. the chronicle reports that two men running the airport concession business in detroit acted like fbi informants in the case. the paper said they secretly recorded calls and meetings with bovis and nuru. if convicted they will each face 20 years in prison. the attorney for mohammed nuru said in the past since the arrest made public that he looked forward to doctors are taking the health of a child that was a passenger on one chartered flight from china to the travis air force base. we showed you this yesterday morning. the plane landed at the airbase with the people and the child had a fever. the child was taken to the hospital along with the child's mother to be observed and test results should be back within several days. >> children have fever infected with bodily fluid before or after the birth. the california highway patrol is investigating another shooting on the east bay freeway, the second within 24 hours. we have allie rasmus at ia 80 to explain what happened. >> reporter: the lady shooting happened around 10:20 last night according to the chp on this freeway on wrap behind us. this is northbound 880 on-ramp at 23rd avenue. a woman was driving onto the freeway when someone shot at her car and you can see the result in the video with the red chevrolet with the driver side window shattered with at least four bullet holes in the side of the car but luckily the driver was not hurt. this created a traffic mask for a while last night getting onto this section of 880. the ramp was closed while chp investigators searched to the freeway or shell casings and other evidence. this was the second shooting at 880 it when it happened within 24 hours of a second shooting. it appears that the driver may have been targeted and that shooting because he was followed by the gunman from another location. at this point there's no indication that the two shootings are related. we reached out to chp to get an update on both of the will bring in big boulders to put on the road. they have more rvs, campers and cars parking in the area. allison rodriguez is out that this morning and why don't they want the cars parking out here? >> reporter: they say they are addressing the business and neighbors concerns and that is what the city tells us at this point. they put up signs with the warnings, telling the drivers they cannot park year and that enforcement will start today. just below that as we drive a little bit you can see a couple of homemade signs, one accusing tesla of being behind the move. enforcement starts today and there are warning signs up along kato road leading the campers and drivers know that they have to go. initially the city wanted people out by the 27th but people are still parked out here. some began packing yesterday to get a head start but in the recent months more rvs and campers have claimed spots along this road. this area is largely industrial with seagate and tesla solar and other companies. some tesla car carriers also parked here and the city says that the ban on parking will apply to them too. still some are wondering why the need for the plan. back nobody ever came across the street and said you should not be here, or nothing like that. i don't know, they just all of a sudden it up a sign. >> it is the space nobody uses actually, so i don't know what is the reason for that unless it is tesla. >> reporter: the city officials say that now is the right time to take action "substantial concern from residents, businesses and the public at large." the estimated cost to bring in boulders it will cost about $2500 a will take about two days to install them along kato road. some people did already take off this morning, but a lot of people are still here. you can see wuhan, city of 11 million people but now covering an area of 50 million people for the lockdown. passengers flying from south korea to las vegas finally are in las vegas after having a coronavirus care that diverted the plane to lax. the spokesperson for korean air found three people on the plane had recently gone to china and all three passengers had u.s. passports. they went through a brief quarantine process before being cleared. the plane want to las vegas and landed a few hours later. the number of coronavirus cases in the u.s. is up to 12 after person from wisconsin tested positive. investigating an attack on a teenage girl by group of women on tuesday night at around 7:50 at fisherman's wharf. the group of women attacked a girl at starbucks at beech street and high street. we have video to share from the citizens app in this video was taken just after the attack happened. the police are still searching for the attackers at this point. >> the victim was struck with a golf club at one point during the assault. based on the investigation, approximately eight females evolved ranging from teenagers to possibly in their 40s. >> the young woman cell phone was stolen and so federal court. >> we are live outside of the courthouse in san francisco with the story. >> reporter: good morning. mohammed nuru and nick bovis are scheduled in court for a bond hearing at 11:30 this morning. they are both charged with fraud in connection with a corruption case involving the san francisco city contracts. mohammed nuru is the director for public works and on administrative leave for his scheme with the involvement of the bribing of the san francisco airport commissioner with help from nick bovis. they were working to give cash and free travel for the airport commissioner without competitive bidding. the chronicle reported that two men running a business at the airport in detroit at this as fbi agent in the case. the businesses in detroit reportedly included a concession at sfo. if convicted they can each face up to 20 years in prison and the attorney for mohammed nuru says he looks forward to defending himself against the allegations. again, both men are scheduled to appear in court at 11:30 for the bond hearing and we will update you again at noon. cristina rendon, ktvu fox 2 news. the plane from wuhan, china will arrive with one landing at the military base in san antonio with another at an airport in omaha, nebraska. all passengers are being screened for the coronavirus and will be quarantine over the next two weeks. 562 people died from the coronavirus in china and a newborn baby tested positive for the illness, the youngest an okay so far. in the meantime doctors check in on a young child that was a passenger going to the travis air force base in fairfield and landed at the base early yesterday morning. the cdc said the young child had a fever and was taken to the hospital along with the mother for observation. >> children have fever for a number of different reasons, and the child is being evaluated at this point. we will put them in isolation and test them. >> the other passengers are in quarantine at a hotel located on the military base. evacuees ranging from ages of 2 through 65. a second plane refilled at travis going to the air force base at san diego. four of the 167 passengers at a fever or cough and are now at the bay area hospital. the researchers in this area are scrambling to find a treatment for the coronavirus and they are learning more about this particular strain. the coronavirus attacks the respiratory system and transmitted by droplets when the infected person exhales, coughs or sneezes. they can also be spread by touching contaminated services surfaces like the door handle. >> if i come in the room and someone is sick with the coronavirus, and they walk out, the droplets are still in the air so i could become infected is the case if i am susceptible. they are trying to determine if the newborn baby in china that was affected we just reported on was infected before or after birth by the body fluids. we have the latest information on these two investigations with allie rasmus from oakland. >> reporter: first, it's important to note that there is no indication that the shootings on 880 are connected in any way. the most recent was at 10:20 p.m. at northbound 880 and 23rd avenue on oakland highway. someone shot at this woman's car. the red chevy she was driving at the driver side window shattered with at least four bullet holes in the side of the car. luckily the driver was not hurt and no one was injured. the traffic was backed up getting onto 880 and the ramp was closed for a while as investigators searched the freeway, gathering shell casings and other evidence. this is the second freeway shooting within 24 hours on ia 80. they were at another freeway shooting at the on ramp at northbound 880 in mallory avenue. the chp investigator said it appears the driver may have been targeted because he was followed by the gunman from another location but there is no indication at this point that the two shootings are connected or related in any way. we road. they put up the signs and it tells everybody that parking will be enforced beginning today. you can see as we move our eyes down a little bit there are a couple of homemade signs. i'm not sure who put them up but one says "why, tesla, why". the other sign says "can't we all just get along." more rvs and campers have claimed a spot along this road with this area largely industrial. it is home to sea gate and tesla solar. even some of the tesla car carriers park your long with neighboring business employees. they say the ban on parking will apply to them too. the ban will start today with warning signs up along the road leading campers and drivers know that they have to pack up and go. some people started packing yesterday to get a head start and after the road is cleared they will bring in boulders to keep people from parking here in the future. some are wondering if that plan was really needed. >> nobody ever came across the street telling us we should not be here or nothing like that. i don't know. all of a sudden they put up the signs up. >> i did not see any problem to park there because it was space nobody used, actually. i don't know what the reason for that see, have been here for a while and made this their place, their residence. it's clear not everyone has left and we are not sure when city officials plan on starting the enforcement. they will start allison rodriguez, ktvu fox 2 news. the trial continues in the murder of nia wilson this morning after an emotional round of statements and outbursts having the defendant thrown out of court. it was the 2018 deadly stabbing and the video moved some jurors to tears. it shows john lee cowell stabbing 18-year-old wilson moments after getting off the bart train at the mcarthur station. john lee cowell was eventually removed from the court for repeatedly speaking out during the da opening statement . >> i think he got kicked out on purpose because he did not want to see the video. that is what i honestly think. the judge asked him several times if he could be quite. i hope he goes to prison and that they lock him up and throw away the key. >> he was later allowed back in the courtroom and his attorney told the jury it was a rash act of impulsivity fueled by dilutions. he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and he is facing charges for stabbing the sister of nia wilson who survived. if convicted he could spend the rest of his life in prison. the chinese government is ordering the officials in will haunt to round up affected people and sending them to quarantine camps. is probably the worst. >> there is a lot of growing fear and prejudice coming out of it with a new kind of profile, coughing while asian. >> next week the oakland chinatown chamber of commerce plans on holding a workshop to educate business owners on the coronavirus as part of the chamber's effort to encourage patrons to return to the asian owned businesses. there was attack on a teenage girl group of women tuesday night just before 8:00 at freshmans war. they attacked her at hide street at the starbucks coffee shop. we have video to share from the incident from the citizen app that show what happened after the crime took place. as of right now the police are still searching for the attackers. >> the victim was struck with a golf club at one point during the assault. based on our
